To Advance Mental and Physical Health - through evidence based psychological interventions supported by recommendations from NICE and the NHS. These interventions will increase the level of health and wellbeing and build resilience in communities. To Advance Education - through the provision of psyc

hological interventions and personal development providing a range of Community Based Education Workshops/Programmes that support Psycho-logical Development, Growth and Capacity Building. The Advancement of Conflict Resolution or Reconciliation - through the provision of mediation or adjudication of misunderstandings, disagreements, disputes or conflict between individuals, family members or communities in Dumfries and Galloway. The Advancement of Citizenship or Community Development—through improvements of the social infrastructure and by assisting people who are at a disadvantage because of their social circumstances. Main activities. iaps has four main activities
1. to offer psychological help and support to individuals and community interest groups
2. to develop and deliver a range of mental health related educational programmes
3. to develop and deliver a range of conflict resolution and reconciliation programmes
4. to provide a range of CPD Capacity Building Programmes which will include Coaching, Mentoring and Behavioural Change Management

iaps employs qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Trauma Focused Therapists and Brief Intervention Counsellors who are Members of, The British Association of Counsellors and Psycho-therapists (BACP), The British Psychological Soci-ety (BPS) and The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). iaps Staff conform to the Professional Ethics and Standards set by these institutes.
