The countdown is on! 🎉 Middleton Hall Retirement Village's much-loved Village Show is back for 2026.

Come along on Saturday 5th September, from 11am–4pm, for a fun-filled day of entertainment, delicious food, and a wonderful community atmosphere. Best of all, entry is free for everyone!

🎭 Entertainment & schedule highlights
11.30am – Performance by Locos in Motion Border Morris Group
12pm – Vanguard 13th Century Re-enactment Group
1pm – Garden tour with our Estates Team
2pm – Darlington Salvation Army Band, plus a garden tour with our Estates Team
3pm – Vanguard 13th Century Re-enactment Group

🛍️ Enjoy throughout the day
Craft & Produce Show, shopping stalls, and a classic car display.

🍔 Food & drink
Pop-up café in the Pavilion (11am–4pm), with a BBQ served from 12pm–3pm.

More than 100 garden lovers from across the North East joined us at Middleton Hall Retirement Village for our National Garden Scheme Open Day, helping to raise money for the National Garden Scheme's nursing and health charities. 💚

Visitors explored our award-winning 45-acre estate, enjoyed guided tours, discovered our beautiful gardens and woodland walks, and learned more about our commitment to supporting biodiversity and local wildlife.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success.

Just one week to go until our Classic Car Show! 🚗

As we count down to this year's event, here's a throwback to last year's fantastic Classic Car Show at Middleton Hall Retirement Village. We can't wait to welcome the Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club back on Wednesday 5th August 2026 for another wonderful day of vintage, veteran and classic cars & bikes.

🏁 Vehicles arrive in convoy from 10:15am | On display from 10:30am – 3:00pm
🎟 Entry by charity donation on the day, with all proceeds going to Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, Middlesbrough
☕ Light refreshments available in the Pavilion

Are you a caring, compassionate person looking to make a real difference? We're looking for a Night Carer to join our friendly community, set within 45 acres of beautiful grounds.

✨ Permanent contract
✨ 31.5 hours per week (9pm–7am), flexibility to work across a 7-day rota
✨ Starting at £13.44 per hour

As part of our dedicated nights team, you'll work across our care services to provide person-centred care and support, helping residents maintain their independence while ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and valued throughout the night. You'll also work closely with colleagues, families and friends to keep our residents at the heart of every decision.

A wonderful glimpse into one of our favourite weekly activities – Singing for the Soul 🎶

Led by our fantastic Wellbeing Coordinator Ayme, this much-loved session brings residents together through the joy of music. It's always well attended and a real highlight of the week at Middleton Hall.

This week, our talented chef Sam joined the group with his guitar, giving everyone plenty to sing along to 🎸💙

What a wonderful day! 🌿💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our National Garden Scheme Open Day at Middleton Hall Retirement Village.

It was a pleasure to welcome so many visitors to explore our beautiful 45-acre estate, enjoy guided garden tours, woodland walks, delicious refreshments and discover the incredible work that goes into maintaining our award-winning grounds – all while raising money for fantastic healthcare charities.

A special thank you to our dedicated Estates team, volunteers, residents and the National Garden Scheme County Durham team for helping make the day such a success.

Join us today at Middleton Hall Retirement Village as we open our 45 acres of beautiful woodlands and walkways for the National Garden Scheme.

🌿 What’s on:
Guided Garden Tours at 11:15am & 2pm, led by our Estates team, who will share the history and horticulture of our stunning grounds. Open to both residents and visitors.

🎟 Tickets:
