This morning, members of Dementia Friendly Darlington visited The Springfield Hotel At Darlington to say a massive thank you to landlady Michelle for raising an incredible £673.25 at the recent music festival Springfield Live.
This money will help support our work in making Darlington more dementia friendly! 🩵

🌊🍦🐟🍟 Memory Lane Café – Seaside Special! 🐟🍟🍦🌊

Next month, we’re doing something a little different at our Memory Lane Café and bringing the seaside to you! 🌊

Join us for a fun-filled seaside-themed café, complete with delicious fish and chips and even an ice cream van! 🍦

At our monthly Memory Lane Activity Café today we had a football theme ahead of this weekend’s Word Cup Final. A big thank you to Barry, Nicole and Max from Darlington FC Foundation who came along and entertained everyone with a world cup quiz and some football skills for all to join in with …… it was a lot of fun. The Darlington FC mascot even joined us …… thank you Mr Q!!
The photo shows Barry, Max and Mr Q with 3 of our guests who all played football to a high level in their youth …… and they showed us today that they still have a touch for the ball!

We had a great day yesterday at the GOLD Tea Dance in Darlington. It was lovely weather and everyone enjoyed the singing, dancing and tea and scones. We spoke to lots of people providing information about our home care service and about job opportunities with us. Already looking forward to next year’s tea dance!!
