We are the mental health and learning disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York. From education and prevention, to crisis and specialist care - our talented and compassionate teams work in partnership with our patients, communities and partners to help the people of our region feel safe, understood, believed in and cared for. We nurture the recovery

journey of anyone in need of our help. In Our Trust, everyone has a say in how they are supported and treated because we listen to every person in our care until they feel understood. Our patients, their families and carers work
together with us towards better mental health. We’re committed to new thinking that improves the wellbeing of our region. We connect with our communities and partners to get mental health care right, in areas that really need it. We won’t rest until everyone in our region has the mental health care they need, to lead their best possible life. This account is not monitored 24/7. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing a mental health crisis, call NHS 111 and select the mental health option. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic incident over the weekend. It will be felt far beyond those immediately involved, touching families, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and many people who live, work, travel through, or care for others in the area.

We also extend our condolences to our colleagues at Cleveland Police as they come to terms with the loss of two of their officers, something no organisation, or family, should have to go through.

Our school mental health team in South Durham is here to share practical tips for young people on results day ✨

💪 Education mental health practitioner, Jess, said: “Don’t get yourself stuck in thinking traps. It can be really easy to compare yourself to other people.

“Just remember that everybody is in the same boat today and everybody has their own strengths.”

🪞Kerry, psychological therapist, said: “Don’t make any rash decisions.

“Take the time to reflect and think about what you want to do next.”

😊 Kerry also said: “Remember self-care. It’s important to take the time to do things you enjoy and that are important to you.”

Search for the Results Day Hub on our website for more information, support and resources ❤️
