Today there just wasn’t time to train…

✔️ PT client at 6am
✔️ Full day at work
✔️ Back to teach class at 6pm
✔️ PT client at 7pm
✔️ Meeting about some exciting new things happening at ESL Fitness 👀

Did I get a workout in? No.

Am I going to beat myself up about it? Absolutely not.

Did I still hit my 10,000 steps? Yes!

The reality is, sometimes we put our clients before our own workouts—and that’s okay. It’s part of the job, and it’s something we’re proud to do.

We both work full-time, coach PT clients, teach classes, and run a gym. Some days there simply aren’t enough hours to fit everything in.

Does that mean we’ve failed? Absolutely not.

Rest days are important. Missing one workout won’t ruin your progress, and neither will having a busy day where life takes priority.

Fitness isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being consistent over time and finding balance. Give yourself the same understanding you’d give someone else.

We’re lucky to do what we love, helping others achieve their goals while building ESL Fitness. Some days that means our own workout has to wait, and that’s perfectly okay.

Progress isn’t made in one workout, and it certainly isn’t lost by missing one. 💙

Why it’s good to move on Mondays 💪

Monday is more than just the start of a new week—it’s an opportunity to build momentum. Exercise on a Monday can boost your energy, improve your mood, and help set healthy habits for the days ahead.

Whether it’s a gym session, a run, a walk, or a fitness class, moving your body helps reduce stress, increase focus, and gives you a positive mindset to tackle the week.

Start strong. Feel good. Keep the momentum going. 🔥

What’s your favourite way to get moving on a Monday?

Working out on holiday… is it discipline, routine, or guilt? 🤔

You’re on an all-inclusive holiday. The food is endless, the drinks are flowing, and the only thing on your schedule is soaking up the sun. ☀️🍹

So why do some people still head to the gym, go for a run, or squeeze in a workout?

Is it:
💪 Discipline – because you made a commitment to yourself?
🔁 Routine – because moving your body is just part of your day?
😬 Guilt – trying to “earn” the buffet or burn off yesterday’s cocktails?

For me, it’s about feeling good and seeing the sights. A workout gives me more energy, helps me enjoy the food without overthinking it, and means I come home feeling refreshed instead of needing another holiday to recover.

No right or wrong answer—everyone’s holiday is different.

What’s your reason for working out on holiday… or do you leave the trainers at home? 👇
