Ty’r Ysgol went on a trip to Loggerheads this week. We had a look at the sculptures along the trail and enjoyed a picnic followed by an ice cream.

Community Appeal: Help Us Build a Sensory Garden at Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn

STAND NW are creating a new sensory garden for pupils with ALN at Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn — a calming, inclusive outdoor space where young people can explore nature, build confidence and enjoy meaningful sensory experiences.
To make this happen, we’re asking local businesses, garden centres and community partners to support us with donations of materials.
Items we urgently need:
• Wheelbarrows — moving soil, compost and materials
• Plants — scented, textured, colourful, pollinator‑friendly
• Deep bedding boxes — accessible raised planters
• Weeding membrane — safe, low‑maintenance pathways
• Water butts — sustainable watering
• Soil and compost — for raised beds and planting areas
• Seeds — herbs, vegetables, flowers
• Hand tools — trowels, forks, gloves
• Outdoor educational area- large wall blackboard
• Any other garden materials — we can make use of almost anything
Every donation, big or small, helps us create a space where pupils can thrive outdoors.
