For many people with PMOS, the journey to parenthood can look different. 🧡

Throughout PMOS Awareness Month, we’ve shared information about the condition, its impact on fertility and the importance of understanding your individual journey.

Today, we’re sharing the stories of some of the people we’ve supported along the way. From diagnosis to treatment and, for some, becoming parents, every journey is unique.

Because PMOS doesn’t mean your journey to parenthood has to end.

ZAVA's clinical team will independently assess whether their weight management options are suitable for you, and provide ongoing support throughout your journey.

What does an embryologist actually do during a typical day in the lab? 🔬

From checking lab equipment to monitoring embryos, there's a lot happening behind the scenes — egg collections, embryo transfers, fertilising eggs using IVF and ICSI, and more.

And it's not all lab work - careful documentation, patient updates and preparation for the next day are all part of the role too.

Swipe to take a look inside the embryology lab. 👀

Have a question about what happens in the embryology lab? Let us know in the comments.

Could acupuncture have a place in your fertility journey?

Acupuncture is sometimes used alongside fertility treatment, with some people finding it helpful for relaxation and managing the stress that can come with treatment.

Research has also explored its potential effects on blood flow to the reproductive organs and its use at different stages of IVF.

But does it improve your chances of having a baby? The evidence is still developing, and there isn’t currently enough evidence to say that acupuncture improves IVF success rates.

If you’re considering acupuncture alongside your treatment, speak to your fertility team about whether it could be right for you.

Ever wondered why IVF doesn’t usually involve transferring multiple embryos?💜

It’s not simply a decision made by your fertility clinic. The HFEA regulates how many embryos can be transferred, with the aim of reducing multiple pregnancies and helping give patients the best chance of a healthy baby.

Advances in fertility treatment and HFEA regulation have helped reduce multiple births following IVF over the years.

Every treatment journey is individual, so your clinical team will discuss what’s appropriate for you.

PMOS is more than a diagnosis.
For many, it can mean appointments, unanswered questions, symptoms that come and go, uncertainty around fertility and feeling like nobody quite understands.

And everyone's experience is different.

How much does one round of IVF cost?💜

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The cost of IVF can vary depending on your age, AMH, BMI, previous treatment and individual fertility needs.

For eligible patients, Care Value offers IVF for a fixed cost of £3,500*.

Not sure what you may be eligible for, or what your treatment could cost? Our Patient Services Team can talk you through your options and help you understand what’s right for you.

👉 Find out more about Care Value via the link in our bio.

*Subject to eligibility criteria. A fertility assessment is required at an additional cost.

Fertility treatment can feel like a lonely road, even when you're surrounded by people who care. That's why we've built a space where you don't have to explain yourself from scratch.

Our new peer-to-peer community brings together people at every stage of their journey. Whether you're just starting to explore your options or are further along, it's a space to ask questions, share honestly, and hear from others who understand what it's really like.

Every group is guided by moderators who have been through fertility treatment themselves, so you're never navigating this alone.

What does meaningful peer-to-peer support look like during fertility treatment?💜

We’re currently looking at how we can improve peer-to-peer support for people going through fertility treatment, and we’d really value your input

📝We’ve created a short survey (around 5 minutes), and your feedback will help shape our future community support.

All responses are confidential, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
