Neighbourhood health, stronger partnerships and the future direction of primary care will be the focus of the 2026 Annual General Practice Conference next month.
Now fully booked, the event on Wednesday, 30 September will be hosted by Derby and Derbyshire Local Medical Committee (DDLMC), Derbyshire General Practice Provider Board (GPPB) and The Hub Plus.
The full agenda will be released to registered delegates soon, and attendees can expect an inspiring day filled with thought-provoking discussions, practical insights and valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues.
Colleagues from the GPPB, DDLMC and The Hub Plus will lead a series of workshops and breakout sessions focused on ‘What are neighbourhoods and why do they matter?’ and ‘Looking ahead: New relationships and future ways of working’.
There will also be a panel discussion featuring key partners who will provide greater clarity on system direction and development – with an opportunity to ask questions.
During the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a series of dedicated breakout workshops.
Sessions will explore a range of topics, that will deliver practical insights, encourage shared learning, and showcase innovative ways of working across the health and care system.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Dr Andy Mott, GPPB Medical Director, said: “As the collaborative voice for general practice in Derbyshire, we are really keen to hear from colleagues at this event about their experiences and challenges in the context of modern general practice and neighbourhood working.
“The event will feature key people and some great ideas for the future, but also, this is our chance to listen to practices and PCNs, as we understand and navigate an ever-changing landscape.”
