💜 Happy Mental Health Awareness Week 💜
We love the theme of ‚express yourself‘ this year - so many different ways to do just that, be it verbally, through our bodies, through art or whatever other way we might be able to think of! We got to know and befriend our sadness monster this evening and explored lots of different ways of expressing our sadness, using the Relax Kids Seven Steps of Move, Play, Breathe, Stretch, Feel, Believe & Relax and even cresting a drawing of our individual sadness monsters! It was beautiful and I love running these sessions more than I can put into words! I never thought they would work so well via Zoom and I am incredibly grateful that I was proven wrong. Sometimes we might be expressing ourselves even more that way than we used to in our regular face to face classes, simply because expressing our thoughts, ideas, beliefs is one of the main ways in which we can virtually interact and connect?! 🥰
