About Stuart Dare

I help people recognise what is keeping them stuck, change the patterns beneath it and practise a more useful way of thinking, feeling and acting—so the change lasts. I’ve spent nearly two decades helping people break unhelpful patterns, build confidence and find the courage to make meaningful changes. I’ve also realised that, when it came to building the life and business I wa

nted for myself, I had been going around in circles. So I’m putting my own work into practice—updating the map, challenging the old gremlins and building a professional coaching business that helps people move from surviving and running on autopilot to living with greater confidence, intention and aliveness. I’m beginning with focused coaching sessions for people who feel stuck or caught in a repeating pattern and want clarity, change and a practical next step.

What is coaching?
Coaching is a professional conversation designed to help you move forward.

It gives you time and space away from the noise of everyday life to think more clearly about where you are, what you want and what may be getting in the way.

You don't come to coaching to be told how to live your life. We work together to understand what's happening, explore your options, challenge assumptions and patterns that may be holding you back, and turn insight into practical action.
Sometimes that means solving a specific problem.

Sometimes it means rebuilding confidence. Sometimes it's about making an important decision, changing direction, creating better habits or finally doing something you've been putting off.

And sometimes it's simply knowing:
Something needs to change — but I don't know where to begin.

That's a perfectly good place to start.

Coaching is not a luxury — it is often the missing support people need to break out of stuck patterns, reconnect with their own power, trust themselves again, and create a future that feels meaningful, purposeful, and possible.

As an NLP practitioner I can help with a wide range of mindset, behaviour, emotional, and communication issues.

Common problems people seek help with:
Emotional and mental wellbeing
Anxiety in everyday situations
Stress and overwhelm
Low confidence
Low self-esteem
Self-doubt
Feeling stuck
Negative self-talk
Fear of failure
Fear of success
Imposter feelings
Overthinking
Difficulty letting go of the past
Unhelpful emotional patterns
Trouble managing moods or reactions

Personal growth and direction
Lack of purpose
Feeling lost
Goal confusion
Wanting more fulfilment
Wanting to feel more in control of life
Identity changes after loss, breakup, burnout, or career change
Wanting to move from surviving to thriving
NLP is often especially useful for
Changing unhelpful thought patterns
Reframing beliefs
Improving emotional responses
Building confidence and resilience
Creating fast shifts in perspective

Helping someone move towards a clearer, more resourceful state

Important note:
NLP can be very helpful for coaching and personal development, but it is not a replacement for medical care, crisis support, or mental health treatment where these are needed.

An NLP practitioner helps people change the way they think, feel, and respond, so they can overcome inner blocks and get better results in life.

If any of these feel familiar to you, perhaps it's time for change? Let's start with a conversation to explore what's possible for you. DM to find out how.

One of the strangest moments in life…

is when you finally reach something you’ve been chasing for years.
The job.
The promotion.
The house.
The lifestyle.

You work hard, stay disciplined, keep pushing forward.

And eventually you get there.

But instead of the huge sense of fulfilment you imagined…
there’s a quieter feeling.
Something like:
"Is this it?"

It doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful.
It doesn’t mean anything is wrong.
It often just means the thing you were chasing wasn’t the real need underneath.

Many of the goals we pursue in life are actually symbols of deeper human needs.
For example:

Money
Often represents freedom, security, or the ability to breathe a little easier.

Success
Often represents feeling worthy or respected.

A promotion
Often represents being recognised and valued.

Productivity
Often represents having control over your life and time.

Confidence
Often represents self-acceptance.

Perfection
Often represents the hope of finally feeling “good enough.”

More time
Often represents space to think, rest, and feel present in your life again.

When you start to notice this, something interesting happens.
You realise that the deeper need you’re looking for might be satisfied in many different ways, not just the one path you originally imagined.

Sometimes the real shift in life isn’t chasing more.
It’s understanding yourself more clearly.

And when that happens, life often becomes lighter.
More intentional.
More aligned.
And strangely enough… more fulfilling.

So I’m curious:
What do you think people chase the most in life?
Money?
Success?
Recognition?
Confidence?
Or something else entirely?
I'd love to hear your thoughts. 👇

Do you ever notice how life can start to feel like the same day on repeat?
You wake up.
You get on with what needs doing.
You tell yourself “things will change soon”…
Yet somehow, weeks or months pass and nothing really shifts.

It’s not because you’re lazy.
And it’s not because you’re broken.
Often, it’s because you’re trying to change from the same place you’re already standing.

Most people assume that if life isn’t moving, they just need more motivation, more discipline, or a better plan. But real change rarely starts there.

It starts when you see something about yourself, your patterns, or your assumptions that you hadn’t seen before.
Not a dramatic overhaul.
Not a big personality change.
Just a quiet moment of clarity where you realise:
“Oh… I’ve been living on autopilot here.”

That awareness is the doorway. 🚪
And once you step through it, forward movement starts to feel lighter, more natural, and far less forced.

You don’t need to push harder.
You need a new way of seeing what’s actually going on.
That’s the difference between existing and living.

Gentle question for reflection:
👉 Where in your life do you sense you might be on autopilot right now?
