What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had here at Cocos Adventures Childminding 🌟
The children have enjoyed lots of exciting outings and adventures including visits to Dinky Dinos 🦕, Freddie’s Play Kingdom 🎈 and Infinite Wellbeing in Heanor 💛, we have attended playgroups and met up with other childminders and their lovely children, had lots of walks out enjoying the dry patches of weather, whilst getting the fresh air we have been listening to the wind and bird sounds and looking at the trees and flowers around us. We’ve also been on shopping trips to Costco and Asda, which are all amazing opportunities for learning and development.
Through these real-life experiences the children have been building confidence with social interaction, developing early maths skills, exploring their surroundings, problem solving, counting ducks 🦆, taking turns and practising counting up to 3, all supporting the prime areas of learning within the EYFS.
This week we also introduced Makaton sign language during rhyme time 🎶 and the children absolutely loved joining in!
I am so incredibly proud of how much the children’s physical development and communication skills are progressing. Watching them grow in confidence, curiosity and independence is such a joy every single day 🥰
To all of my term-time only children, have a lovely half term and I’ll see you all after my holiday ☀️
To my all-year-round children, I’ll see you next week for another fun and hopefully sunny week ahead 🌞
Happy Bank Holiday everyone!
Love,
Chloe (aka Coco) 💕
