We’re excited to announce that our Greater Manchester and Northern England service is now officially CQC‑registered as a healthcare provider! 🎊

This is a major milestone in our commitment to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while helping to reduce healthcare‑related costs across the region.

This accreditation means we can now offer bespoke, person‑centred nurse‑led care within these areas, delivered by our dedicated and highly skilled team. Our Registered Manager, Gemma Foster, provides day‑to‑day operational and clinical leadership across Empowering U services. She oversees safeguarding, quality assurance, workforce development, and CQC compliance, ensuring that every element of care is delivered safely, effectively, and consistently. She cannot wait to get started in this new area for us!

We are also proud to share that we are TDDI‑registered, further strengthening our commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and high‑quality healthcare services.
And this is only the beginning. We’re continuing to grow, innovate, and expand our services, with more exciting updates coming very soon.

A huge thank‑you to our entire team for their hard work and dedication in making this achievement possible! 🎉

Our dedicated complex care teams actively champion the people we support.

Our staff members are skilled in guiding individuals towards employment opportunities that match their strengths, not just their diagnosis. We help people access learning programmes that actually work for them. We support social connections that build confidence rather than anxiety. đź’š

We believe in providing real choices, whether that's going to the gym, doing the weekly shop independently, pursuing a hobby, or working towards qualifications.
Having a learning disability doesn't mean having limited potential. It means needing the right support to unlock that potential.

We support individuals based on what they want, not what's easiest for us to deliver.

March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and funds to get closer to finding cures for the different types of brain tumours.

For us at Empowering U, this month holds particular significance. We witness first-hand the profound impact brain tumours have on individuals and their families. From the initial diagnosis through treatment and rehabilitation, we see the challenges they face daily.

But we never want to shy away from these realities. Our case managers work alongside people living with the effects of brain tumours, supporting them to rebuild their lives, regain independence, and hold onto hope. Whether it's navigating complex healthcare systems, coordinating multidisciplinary care, or simply being there during the difficult moments, we're committed to walking this journey alongside them.

To everyone affected by brain tumours: you're not alone. To the researchers, clinicians, and charities working tirelessly towards a cure: we see you, and we're grateful.

Care isn’t just clinical, it’s personal. 🫂

It can mean help with everything from bathing to everyday domestic tasks.
And sometimes, accepting that kind of support can feel overwhelming.
We’re not here to take away your independence. But to support it, in a way that respects your dignity and your pace.

At Empowering U, kindness and understanding guide everything we do.
How can we ensure care supports independence, not replaces it?

Behind every client is a network of parents, partners, siblings, and carers navigating complex decisions every day.

We work alongside families - listening, guiding, and supporting - so no one feels they have to carry it alone.
