World Environment Day 2026: 🌏

We’re all seeing changes in the environment around us, and World Environment Day is a good reminder that small actions still matter.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), employees of Altrad Belle recently took part in a litter picker in the local area.

Litter was collected from a stretch of the River Dove from Beresford Dale to Milldale, various stretches of roads in the Peak District as well as through our local village of Sheen.

A total of over 50kg of waste was collected from these areas with items including tin cans, glass bottles, tissues, cigarette filters, dog poo bags and even an old discarded air bed.

There will be more to come soon too as the local HYPAC (Hartington Young Peoples Activity Club) Group and Longnor Action Group will also be carrying out litter picks in Hartington & Longnor later this month.

All waste that is collected is recycled by our waste management partner Peak Waste Recycling, with whom we have a policy of 0% to landfill.

Completing his Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, 𝑻𝒐𝒃𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏. Rather than just ticking off tasks, Toby constantly strives to understand the "why" behind complex engineering processes, perfectly linking classroom theory to practical application.tion.

Mixing Traditional lime mortar with. Battery powered mixer! 😮

The Altrad Belle 150+ battery powered mixer is my go to for all of our small jobs

Out of the 8amp batteries we get 3 full lime mixes (mixed for about 20 - 30 minutes each)

And having the second battery makes sure your covered for the whole day!

Even if you don't have power to charge the batteries up.

But that does mean having 2!

They do charge well too so if you have means to charge them they will be charged fully by the time the next has run out! Which is brilliant!

Now we do use forced action for our hot mixing but for nhls these styles of mixer are perfectly fine and do a great job especially in rural areas!

Let's talk about the battery life! Altrad Belle 150 e+ battery powered mixer!

Now don't get me wrong we have a great set up and we're fortunate enough to be gifted this mixer to review when it initially came out for our contract with English heritage!

We have tested this mixer out over multiple sites across the midlands and down south -

Rural sites on hills by castles or next to bridges where there are no electric at all

In towns or city centres where we can't have cables everywhere and even on small weekend projects.

But all projects large and small so we now have plenty of information and experience using these to give proper genuine reviews on it!

Now I will say that it's something I considered buying prior to being kindly gifted it to test by the Altrad belle team but couldn't justify the initial costs... Now as I said I have used it for the last almost 2 years

I would have definitely made the purchase it has been indispensable for us!

Here are the online pricing details:

The Altrad Belle Minimix 150E+ cordless mixer with an 8Ah battery and charger typically costs between £1,250 and £1,350 (incl. VAT). Bundles that include a second 8Ah battery are less common out of the box and often require purchasing an additional battery separately, which adds roughly £320–£390.

Now as an upfront cost it's quite a bit but a very very worthwhile investment for sure!

We’re proud to share details of a major project delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.

Over the past few months, Altrad Belle has been working closely with the MOD and Amey to supply a comprehensive fleet of equipment, including:

Each machine was built to a prescribed specification and supplied with a range of optional accessories, ensuring suitability for demanding operational requirements.

Manufactured here in the UK, these machines were selected for their robustness, long service life, and strong aftersales support. Designed to perform in challenging conditions, they are ready for deployment worldwide.

This project reflects a true team effort across Altrad Belle, alongside close collaboration with Amey Defence Equipment and other key stakeholders. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support this important work and deliver a successful outcome.
