Following on from our previous autism in girls posts, it’s important to remember that the quiet, compliant child may also need support.

Autism in girls is often misunderstood and later diagnosed due to high masking and lesser understanding of the clinical presentation. Assessment and consideration has to be carefully considered. Children who mask often struggle more after school
