🌱 Little hands, big learning at Say & Play Culmore 🌱

We’ve been busy in the garden planting, watering, and watching our veggies grow… and the excitement is REAL! 🌿

The children have been helping to water the plants every day, learning how things grow, what they need to survive, and most importantly… patience (which isn’t always easy! 😄)

Growing our own vegetables teaches so much:
✨ Where food comes from
✨ Responsibility and care
✨ Turn-taking and teamwork
✨ Language and new vocabulary
✨ Sensory play through soil, water & textures

And yes… we’ve even planted parsnips! 🥕
Will they eat homemade parsnip soup when the time comes? 🤔 I’m not so sure… but we’ll definitely give it a go! 😂

It’s all about the experience, the learning, and the fun along the way 💛

This little shopping list game has been a big hit with the children… and it’s packed full of learning without them even realising it! 🙌

Through play like this, the children are developing:
✨ Memory and recall skills
✨ Turn-taking and social interaction
✨ Early language and vocabulary
✨ Matching and recognition
✨ Focus and attention

We love how something so simple can create so much conversation, laughter, and learning 🤍

There’s lots of “I got it!” moments… and just as many giggles when we forget what we were looking for 😄

The Gingerbread Man & Little Red Riding Hood came to Say & Play today! 🦊🍪

The children were completely engrossed in story time, listening, imagining and joining in with the adventures. Some of our little learners even received their Reading & Story Time Certificates today – well done superstars! ⭐📚

At Say & Play, we absolutely love a good book. Watching the children build confidence, use their imagination, and even begin creating their own stories is always so special.

Stories really do bring magic to the day. ❤️
