Not your fault…….
Still your life.

Someone breaks a window in your house.

It wasn’t your fault.
But if they never come back to fix it, how long do you leave it broken?

Healing can be the same.

Taking responsibility doesn’t mean taking the blame.

It means deciding your future is too important to leave in someone else’s hands.

I WOULDN’T PAY £1,800
FOR A HYPNOTHERAPY COURSE
WITHOUT ASKING THESE QUESTIONS.

London this weekend — not to teach, but to learn.

I’m spending the weekend at the Human Consciousness Conference, exploring new ideas around the mind, consciousness and what shapes the way we experience our lives.

One thing I’ve always believed is that if people trust you to help them, you have a responsibility to keep developing yourself.

Qualifications are important. Experience is important.

But neither should ever become an excuse to stop being curious.

The more I learn about the human mind, the more I realise how much there still is to understand.

And that’s exactly why I’m here.

Always learning.
Always questioning.
Always looking for ways to become better at what I do.

What if this September was the beginning of something completely new?

On 19 & 20 September, I begin my next Accredited Diploma in Hypnotherapy Practice in Derry.

This isn’t simply about learning hypnosis.

It’s about learning how to work confidently with people, understanding what can keep someone stuck, and developing practical therapeutic skills that you can take into real client work.

Over 8 months, one weekend per month, you’ll learn through a combination of teaching, demonstration, hands-on practice, case studies and ongoing support.

Whether your goal is to begin a new career, add hypnotherapy to the work you already do, or simply take your understanding of the mind and human behaviour much deeper — this could be your starting point.

📍 Centre of Wellbeing, Derry
📅 Starts 19 & 20 September
🕘 9am–4pm
🎓 Accredited Diploma Training

And to make the training more accessible, a 7-month payment plan is available, allowing you to spread the cost of the course rather than paying everything upfront.

Places are limited for this intake.

If you’d like the full course details, including fees, payment plan, accreditation and exactly what you’ll learn, send me “DIPLOMA” by message and I’ll send everything over.

Sometimes it isn’t what happened that creates the worry.

It’s what your mind decided it meant.

No reply becomes rejection.
A different tone becomes anger.
A conversation becomes bad news.

The feeling is real.

But before you believe the story, check the facts.

Ask yourself:

What do I actually know… and what have I added?

Who decided where you should be by now?
There’s a sentence I hear surprisingly often:

“I thought I’d be further ahead by now.”

Further ahead than where?

And compared with who?

We quietly create a timetable for our lives.

By this age I should have achieved this.
I should be more confident.
I should have more money.
I should have sorted myself out by now.

Then we look at someone else’s life and use their position to judge our own.

But you don’t know their starting point.

You don’t know what they’ve been through.

And most importantly…

they’re not going where you’re going.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself.

The problem begins when you make where you are today mean that you’re failing.

So perhaps instead of asking:

“Why am I not further ahead?”

Ask:

“Given where I am right now, what’s the next step I can take?”

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You don’t need to catch anybody.

And you certainly don’t need to live according to somebody else’s timetable.

You can want more for your life without making where you are now wrong.

What if the scariest place you’ve ever been… isn’t in the real world?

What if it’s in your own mind?
Have you ever watched a film that was so intense your heart started racing?

For a moment…

Your body reacted as if it was real.

Then you remembered…

“It’s only a film.”

Your thoughts can work the same way.

A thought appears…

“I’m going to fail.”

“They’re judging me.”

“I’m not good enough.”

Your heart races.

Your stomach tightens.

Your body reacts.

Not because those thoughts are facts…

But because your mind has started treating them like they are.

Here’s something worth remembering:

Just because a thought feels real… doesn’t make it true.

The next time your mind starts telling you a story, don’t immediately believe it.

Pause.

Take a breath.

And ask yourself:

“Am I looking at reality… or am I watching a film my mind has created?”

Because the thought isn’t who you are.

You’re the one watching it.

What if you’re not afraid of change…

What if you’re afraid of leaving what’s familiar?
People don’t usually stay where they are because it’s making them happy.

They stay because it’s familiar.

The familiar relationship.

The familiar job.

The familiar anxiety.

The familiar self-doubt.

Even when it hurts.

Why?

Because the mind often mistakes familiar for safe.

That’s why change can feel so uncomfortable.

Not because it’s wrong…

But because it’s new.

The irony is this:

The life you’re hoping for is almost always on the other side of something that feels unfamiliar.

So maybe the question isn’t…

“Am I ready?”

Maybe it’s…

“Am I letting familiarity make my decisions?”

Sometimes the door you’re most afraid to open…

Is the one that’s been waiting for you all along.

How many of us are carrying an umbrella… on a day that’s full of sunshine?

Most of us don’t carry an umbrella because it’s raining.

We carry it because it might rain.

We do exactly the same thing with our minds.

We carry worry…

Overthinking…

Constant planning…

And the need to control everything.

Not because something bad is happening.

But because something bad could happen.

The irony?

While we’re busy preparing for a storm that may never come…

We miss the sunshine that’s already here.

I’m not saying don’t prepare for life.

I’m saying don’t spend so much time protecting yourself from tomorrow that you forget to experience today.

Ask yourself:

What emotional umbrella have I been carrying… that I no longer need?

☀️ Sometimes peace isn’t found by controlling what’s next.

It’s found by trusting yourself enough to deal with whatever comes.
