The cornermen were invited to talk at The Oxford Samaritans AGM. So Co-founder John Houston went down an did this lovely 25 minute explanation about who we are, where we’ve come from, our ethos and way of working. Using the Jung quote above to encompass it all.

Last night Co-founder John attended the Mayor making ceremony at Didcot Town Council where he collected a cheque from out going Mayor, Jim Loder. Jim chose us alongside Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse as his charities when he was elected as mayor last year.

We’d like to express our gratitude to Jim for choosing us and all at the Town council for their support over the last year.

Having a son or daughter that struggles with addiction can be really hard to manage for parents.

So a lady from South Moreton is starting a very relaxed, informal peer support group for others parents going through it. The hope is to have a place to get together, hear speakers, enjoy some tea and cakes and non-judgemental listening.
