🦴🤲 Frozen Shoulder... From the Gut?

This study explored how Visceral Manipulation (VM) helped people with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)—and the results were remarkable:
🔹 Decreased pain
🔹 Increased shoulder mobility
🔹 Improved daily function

By addressing visceral restrictions—especially in the liver and stomach—the study showed how manual therapy can influence joint health from the inside out.

🌿 Research Spotlight: The gut-brain axis continues to reveal fascinating connections between digestive health and migraines. This comprehensive review explores how the health and function of the digestive system may influence the nervous system and overall well-being.

At the Barral Institute, practitioners learn advanced manual therapy approaches. These gentle techniques are designed to assess and support the mobility of the body's organs and surrounding tissues, helping clinicians address restrictions that may contribute to pain and dysfunction as part of a whole-body approach to patient care.

My hands “listen” to your tissues, my ears listen to your voice. I follow my hands and intuition on where and how to work with you, not forcing, just listening, following and encouraging in a respectful manner.

One of the things I love most about CranioSacral Therapy is that it reminds us to listen differently. 👂

One of the most fascinating aspects of CST training is learning to recognise communication that isn't verbal.

Changes in tension.

Changes in breathing.

Changes in stillness.

Changes in attention.

Often the body tells us a great deal before words or our clients ever do. It's one reason so many practitioners describe CST as changing not only how they work, but how they listen.

How Do Emotions Affect Our Tissues?

In her latest article, Vivien Henderson, LMT, CST-D, explores the powerful mind-body connection through SomatoEmotional Release (SER) in CranioSacral Therapy (CST).

Traumatic experiences and emotions such as fear, anger, or shock can become stored in the body's tissues, contributing to pain and dysfunction. Through gentle CST techniques, these emotional patterns can be identified and released, supporting deep healing and balance.

Read about:
• How emotional trauma can become embedded in the body
• The role of CST in releasing "energy cysts"
• Real-life cases demonstrating profound physical and emotional healing
