Hydration. I discuss moisturising several times a week...
• Too greasy - The battle between oily & dry.
If you have naturally oily skin, you should choose lightweight, oil-free cream moisturisers instead of heavy creams.
For normal to dry skin, opt for a prominent glycerine content. Glycerin is an exceptional, highly effective humectant that draws moisture into normal and dry skin while repairing the skin barrier, however too much can have reverse effects.
• Too shiny - Why?
Moisturisers can leave a reflective film caused by unabsorbed oils, heavy emollients, or humectants sitting on the skin's surface rather than actual water hydration.
• It doesn't smell of anything - It doesn't need to!
Anything with a high scent may be drying, and will most certainly irritate the skin barrier, decreasing it's opportunity to remain hydrated.
