Life’s a beach! ⛱️🐚

The perfect day out at the coast with our wonderful residents! From hitting the jackpot at the arcade to enjoying the ultimate seaside staple.. fresh fish and chips, and ice creams of course 🎣

We made some lovely memories - Alan and others laughed their way through the water games, we all reminisced on holidays gone by and sat by the sea, taking a peaceful moment to enjoy the soothing sounds of the waves. Splashes, smiles and full hearts (and belly’s) 😊

🌊😄 Making a splash and sharing smiles!

We brought the beach club to the garden the other day with our very own pool, music, ice cream bar (which you can see by John’s face was a hit with our residents!), mocktails and friendly ball games 🏓
Laughter and great company made it a perfect summers day for our wonderful residents!

Big thanks to Bev as always who came and helped kept the energy going all afternoon. 💜

🙏 A heartfelt thank you Trevor Mayes for gifting this stunning framed photograph to our care home.

Trevor joined us for our Summer Fete this year, where he showcased his work on a stall, at the end of the day he wished to gift us one of his beautiful works. This generous act has brought great joy to our residents, particularly Wendy who got to chose this piece. Your kindness has truly brightened our community space and had a lasting impact on residents and staff! It now has pride of place in reception for all to see. 📸✨

🍇 🤗 Some sweet moments at our community blackberry picking afternoon!

The garden always comes to life when children are running around and having fun in the grounds! We had a lovely afternoon sharing memories and wholesome moments together at our blackberry picking event.

We rolled out the picnic blankets, poured refreshing drinks and enjoyed the perfectly sunny but cooler afternoon together. ☀️🧺

Thanks to everyone who joined.. It’s heartwarming moments like these that stay with us long after the last blackberry is picked! 😊

We’ll be welcoming the community into the garden again this weekend at our next community afternoon tea - look forward to seeing you there. 💜

Our sensory gardening club has been busy recently harvesting onions and checking in on all the different varieties of tomatoes that are flourishing in the garden.

Our residents gathered to design some lovely centerpieces using fresh flowers picked straight from the garden. Creativity bloomed as everyone shared ideas and memories.

We have so many beautiful flowers in the garden at the moment and it’s fun being able to create unique arrangements from the cheerful flora.🤗

📝🎼 Poetry in motion… we have been sharing our favorite verses, reciting classic poems from memory, and connecting back to childhood through reading fun nursery rhymes in our poetry club!

From laughter to touching moments of nostalgia, we have been enjoying the magic of spoken word. It is a beautiful reminder that creativity, expression, and passion never fade!

John, a regular patron of the poetry club has shared with us some wonderful poetry he can recite from memory, and others have both read and sat back and enjoyed listening to a variety of poems. 📚

Our good friend Bev helps run these sessions and always brings some great poems to get us going! The club is becoming increasingly popular and we look forward to seeing where it may go! 😊

🎨✨ Getting hands messy and our creative energy flowing!

In art club recently, our talented residents have been exploring the beauty of nature through abstract painting and hands-on clay sculpting.

Wendy has amalgamated a wonderful collection of paintings over the last few months, each more fabulous and vibrant than the last! And John, Muriel, Doreen and others have been having a lot of fun working on some amazing drawings, paintings and clay works of butterflies and flowers. 🌷🦋
