I’m Eleri and I run Renew Therapies, a small independent holistic therapy business based at The Meadows near Dodleston.

I originally started Renew Therapies from my home treatment room in Huntington after leaving a career in finance, and it’s grown into something I absolutely love.

I offer massage, reflexology and facials, and my approach is very much about treating the person rather than simply following a treatment menu. Some days you might need focused work on a troublesome shoulder or lower back; other days you might simply need to lie down for an hour and switch off

Over the last year I’ve been working towards a qualification in advanced clinical massage, which has given me lots of new tools and techniques to incorporate into my treatments.

So if you’re local and looking for a friendly, personal approach to massage, reflexology or facials, come and say hello. 🌿

How often should you book your treatment?
There isn't a right or wrong answer here, it all depends on what you want out of your treatment.

If you just want some time to yourself every now and again, for your mind to drift, for some uninterrupted time to yourself, the frequency is really up to you. Most people wanting this outcome add it to their regular routines and will come to see me every 4-8 weeks

If every day movements like reaching overhead, bending down, exercising or simply getting comfortable in bed has become a problem, a short course of treatments closer together is often the quickest way to get things moving in the right direction, before settling into a regular routine to keep you moving

Whatever the reason you're coming in to see me, we can chat through what will work best for you, maintaining the consistency of what's right for you is most important.

We all know that when we don't sleep well, everything feels that little bit harder.

This is the story of a client who was struggling with insomnia. Over time, the lack of quality sleep had also started to affect her asthma, something she'd lived with since childhood.

Sleep isn't just about feeling rested. While you're asleep, your body is incredibly busy:

All of that is happening without us even thinking about it.

And that was the last online Zoom session with Jing as part of my advanced massage qualification and I can’t quite believe it’s been nearly a year since I started this course.

(There’s still the small matter of a theory exam to pass, a final week of in-person training and the practical assessment to get through before I graduate... but one step closer)

I’ve learnt so much over the last 12 months, and I’m grateful to everyone who has let me practice on them before I’ve taken new techniques into treatments.

My approach to massage has changed a lot over the past year, and I’m sure it will continue to evolve. I definitely haven’t always got everything right, but every day really is a school day, and some of the biggest lessons come from the things that don’t go quite to plan.

If you haven’t booked in with me for a while, this might be the perfect opportunity to come and experience how much my treatments have evolved over the last year.

For those of you who book it regularly, you’ll know why it’s become one of your favourite treatments.

It’s a gentle, deeply relaxing therapy that encourages you to slow down and switch off. Many clients leave feeling calmer, lighter and restored after their session.
