Today is National Schizophrenia Day, a moment to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and recognise the experiences of those living with schizophrenia. Too often, this condition is misunderstood - but behind every diagnosis is a person with strengths, goals, and a life that deserves understanding and respect.
Support that makes a difference starts with listening, patience, and creating environments where people feel safe and valued. With the right care, connection, and community, people living with schizophrenia can and do lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Today we acknowledge the individuals, families, carers, and professionals who work every day to promote understanding, dignity, and compassionate support.
