Come say hi to our wonderful Parent Infant Psychotherapist Sylvie 👋🏼.

We understand there is this perception of motherhood which paints a picture of instant love, connection and joy. However the reality for many mothers is the opposite of this, for many reasons (all of which are valid) mothers may not feel this rush of love and connection for their babies, they may feel regret or like they don’t enjoy motherhood.

Keeping both mother & baby in mind the parent infant psychotherapy role can explore this in depth and support you through this, ensuring you are give a safe space to be honest about this relationship.

Today reintroduction is to Jess who makes up part of our wonderful admin team.

More often than not our admins voice will be one of the first voices you hear, whether this be managing appointments or lending a listening ear in times of distress. One thing we can guarantee is you will be met with kindness, compassion and be given a safe space free of judgement.

Our admin is truly at the heart of the team, the glue that keeps us together and makes sure we are running a smooth and effective service!

Say hello to Rachel, our Perinatal Social Worker!

We know that the involvement of a Social Worker can sometimes feel daunting or even scary, particularly if you haven’t had positive experiences with social care in the past.

We hope this post helps to provide a little more insight into Rachel’s role and the vital contribution she makes within our team.

Rachel is passionate about supporting women and families, advocating for their needs and ensuring that both mum’s and child’s voices are heard.

Her aim is to work alongside families, build trust and provide compassionate support, helping to keep families together wherever possible.

We’re so proud to have Rachel as part of our team! 💕

Occupational Therapy is all about understanding the things that are important to you in your everyday life — your routines, roles, relationships, interests and the activities that give your life meaning.

Becoming a parent is a huge life transition, and perinatal mental health difficulties can sometimes make everyday life feel harder to manage.

Today we had the pleasure of attending the Women's Wellbeing Hub at Carcroft. It was a fab workshop focussing on the lymphatic system. These are great informative sessions that improve women's health, create awareness and target social isolation. Why not pop along to the next session in September? All welcome đź©·
