During Baby Loss Awareness Week, we want to take a moment to reassure the families and communities we are privileged to serve.
If the need ever arises, we understand that the last thing any parent or loved one should have to think about is the financial burden of arranging a child’s funeral. At such a heartbreaking time, families should be able to focus on saying goodbye, grieving and remembering their precious child.
At Fond Farewell, we want to make one thing very clear: we will never charge for our funeral director services when arranging a child’s funeral.
While we are, of course, a business, we believe that caring for families at their most vulnerable is about so much more than business. It is about compassion, honesty, dignity, kindness and being there when you need someone to guide and support you.
The only costs that may arise are optional third-party items, which are provided at cost price. For example this may include a horse and carriage or grave stone. These are entirely a family’s choice, and we will always explain any costs openly, honestly and transparently, with no pressure or expectation.
No family should ever feel alone when faced with the unimaginable loss of a child.
We are here to listen, to support, and to help in any way we can — with care, compassion and dignity, when you need us most.
