Community event with Doncaster Pride. Details below 👇🏻

We are so thrilled to share the details of an upcoming wellbeing event here in Doncaster for the LGBTQ+ community!

This creative and nature-based wellbeing event aims to bring together members of the LGBTQ+ community in a safe and welcoming environment.��The event will offer a range of accessible activities including creative workshops, mindfulness practices and community gatherings designed to encourage connection, expression and wellbeing.�
From research within the Doncaster LGBTQ+ community there seems to be a lack of resources and safe non-judgemental spaces for individuals to explore their identity and what wellbeing means to them.�
We want to ensure that participants have ongoing opportunities to connect with others and access supportive spaces. It’s free to attend but booking a place is essential so we know how many participants will be joining us.

Jo will be available at Edenthorpe on a Wednesday and the main site on a Friday. If you would like to see Jo, please contact reception who will arrange to do a referral for you and Jo will book you a 1 to 1 appointment at either site.

If your surgery is listed, you can request a referral at reception.

All appointments must be booked in advance to manage footfall.

A huge hospice thank you to everyone who took part in this weekend’s 🏃‍♀️ Scooby-Doo-athon 2026!
Together, participants ran an incredible 480km (298 miles) and completed 95 circuits – an amazing achievement! 👏
We’d also like to say a special thank you to Tickhill Running & Athletic Club (TRAC) for their fantastic support. 💛
Well done to everyone involved – your efforts truly make a difference!

TeamKT are taking part in Cancer Research UK Race for Life on 14.6.26 at Town Fields. We’re walking, jogging or running!

To raise some funds for this event, today we held a cake sale, dress down for a pound and a tombola and have so far raised over £70 🤗

We’re very proud of our team, they’ve worked through the couch to 5k programme and for some, this is their first official race 💪🏻 Go TeamKT!! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Last month was Skin Cancer Awareness month! We would like to highlight the importance of sun safety.

☀️ Sun Safety Starts with the Basics! ☀️

As the weather gets warmer and we spend more time outdoors, it’s important to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

🧢 Wear a sunhat – A wide-brimmed hat helps protect your face, ears, and neck from sun exposure.

🧴 Apply sunscreen – Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, and reapply every 2 hours.

🌳 Seek shade when the sun is strongest (11am–3pm).

👕 Cover up with lightweight clothing and sunglasses for extra protection.

Sunburn can happen quickly and increases the risk of skin damage and skin cancer later in life. Taking a few simple precautions can help keep you and your family safe while enjoying the sunshine.
