โš ๏ธ Do you use needles, lancets or other sharps at home? โš ๏ธ

Please remember that GP practices and community pharmacies cannot accept patient-returned sharps bins for disposal.
Sharps used at home are classed as domestic waste, and disposal arrangements are the responsibility of your local council.

โœ… Contact your local authority for advice on safe sharps disposal

โŒ Please do not bring sharps bins to your GP practice or pharmacy.

Help keep patients, staff and the community safe by disposing of sharps correctly. ๐Ÿ’™

Are you aware of the Crisis and Resilience Fund?

City of Doncaster Council has received funding from the UK Government to administer the funding which aims to support low-income households who encounter a sudden, unexpected expense or financial shock, or an unexpected drop in income, or are at risk of entering crisis - a situation where immediate help is required to prevent harm or serious negative outcomes.

Crisis payments are intended to meet one-off or short-term needs and cannot be used as an alternative source of regular income.

Find out if you are eligible for the fund and details of how to apply: https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/council-tax-benefits/crisis-and-resilience-fund

๐Ÿ“ฌ Received your Bowel Screening test through the post? Don't put it in a drawer... put it by the loo instead! ๐Ÿšฝ

Keeping your Bowel Screening test kit somewhere you'll see it, like next to the toilet, is a simple reminder to complete it.

The test is quick, easy to do at home, and could help detect bowel cancer early, when treatment is most effective.

โœ… When it arrives:
๐Ÿšฝ Put it by the loo
๐Ÿงช Complete the test as soon as you can
๐Ÿ“ฎ Pop it back in the post

A few minutes of your time could make a big difference to your health. ๐Ÿ’™
