⚠️From Wednesday, Doncaster is under a Yellow Heat Health Alert for Hot Weather⚠️
It’s important we all continue to stay safe, look after ourselves and take care of each other in these high temperatures:
🧴Apply sunscreen (of at least SPF 30 and 4 or 5 star ultraviolet A (UVA))
🧢Wear a hat, sunglasses and light, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothes
🏖️Seek shade where possible when you are outside.
💦Stay hydrated with plenty of water and cold drinks – avoid excess alcohol caffeine as this can cause dehydration. If you work outdoors, consider keeping a reusable water bottle with you when out and about.
🧊Keep your living space cool; this is especially important for infants, the elderly or those with chronic health conditions.
🏠Check on isolated, elderly, ill or very young people and make sure they are able to keep cool and hydrated.
🚗When making long journeys to plan ahead, keep cool and hydrated.
