🎓 A huge congratulations to our newest team member, Beth! 🐾❤️

We are so pleased to celebrate Beth’s graduation after all her hard work, she is now officially a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)! 🎉

Beth has recently joined the Burntwood team and we feel very lucky to have her with us. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from the veterinary clinical field, which is a fantastic addition to our team and, most importantly, to the care we provide for our four-legged clients. 🐶❤️

We’re really looking forward to seeing Beth settle into Burntwood and becoming an important part of our team.

Congratulations Beth you’ve worked so hard for this and you should be incredibly proud! 🎓🥂🐾

🎂🐾 HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO ISLA 🐾🎂

Our very own Burntwood girl is one today ❤️

Isla has become a very special part of the Burntwood family and, along the way, has gained herself quite a following…

The Isla Fan Club 😂❤️🐾

If you know Isla, you’ll know why. She’s funny, affectionate, full of personality.

So many of our clients have watched her grow, given her cuddles and fuss, and become just as excited to see her as she is to see them. 🥰

Here’s to another year of adventures, zoomies and plenty of Isla being Isla ❤️🐾

🎓 We’re so proud of you, Sophie! 🐾❤️

Two years ago, Sophie joined us at Burntwood as a placement student as part of her Veterinary Physiotherapy degree at Harper Adams University.

We’ve watched her grow in confidence, learn so much and become such a lovely part of the Burntwood team. It honestly doesn’t seem like two years ago that she first walked through our doors!

And now she’s graduated! 🎓🥂

It’s been so lovely to be a small part of Sophie’s journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Congratulations Sophie — all your hard work has paid off! ❤️

Here’s to the next chapter ! 🐶🐾

🐾 BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND = POOL MAINTENANCE! 🧼💦

We know some of our four-legged friends might be feeling a little distressed seeing this photo… 😱

THE POOL IS EMPTY! 🫣 😂

As part of our regular maintenance, the pool has been emptied, thoroughly cleaned and is getting some well deserved TLC. ✨

By the time we open our doors next week, it will be full, sparkling clean and back to its lovely warm 32°C ready for all our swimmers to get back in and do what they love 🐶❤️

So enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend, everyone… and tell the dogs their pool will be waiting for them 🥰🐾

The underwater footage tells the story 🐾💦

Sometimes, what we see from above the water doesn’t tell us the whole story…

In this video, our underwater footage clearly shows that this lovely girl isn’t using her back legs as she should while swimming. 🐶

This is exactly why having a trained Hydrotherapist in the water with your dog is so important. 👩‍⚕️💙

Our Hydrotherapists don’t simply watch your dog swim. We observe their movement, watch how they are using each limb, assess their technique and make adjustments where needed to help ensure they are getting the most appropriate and beneficial exercise from their session.

🎥 Underwater footage can be an incredibly useful tool, allowing you to see things that may not be obvious from the surface.

Every dog is different, and every swim is tailored to that individual dog.

At Burntwood, it’s not just about getting your dog in the water it’s about understanding HOW they swim. 💙🐾

We would like to let all of our wonderful clients know about an important update to our Photography & Filming Policy.

🐾 Enjoy the Session, We’ll Capture the Memories 🐾

To help protect the privacy of our staff, clients and dogs, photography and filming by visitors is no longer permitted within the hydrotherapy centre. This includes mobile phones, tablets, cameras and unattended recording devices.

We completely understand that you want to capture your dog’s progress and those special moments in the pool and we love sharing them too ❤️

📸 If you would like photos or videos of your dog’s hydrotherapy session, simply let a member of our team know. We will be happy to capture special moments for you whenever possible and send them directly to you.

This policy allows everyone to relax and enjoy their session whilst helping us maintain a safe, professional and respectful environment for all.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

🏆🐾 WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT, LUCY & NORA! 🐾🏆

We are absolutely bursting with pride to celebrate a HUGE agility achievement for our very own Lucy and her amazing girl, Nora 🐾 🧡

Nora has only gone and beaten 194 dogs to qualify at one of the biggest agility shows in the world 🙌 🙈🏆

With 18 rings and roughly 400 dogs running in each ring every day, the level of competition is incredible, so to come out on top and earn a qualification to the London International Horse Show in December is something very, very special! 😍👏

And we love that Nora’s journey includes a weekly swim here at Burntwood Canine Hydro as part of her agility training programme. 🏊‍♀️🐕

Swimming is a fantastic form of conditioning for agility dogs, helping to build strength, fitness and endurance while providing a low impact workout that is kinder to their joints.

Nora is proof that all that hard work, dedication and training really can pay off! 💪🐾

A HUGE congratulations to Lucy & Nora, we couldn’t be prouder of you both 🧡🏆
