πŸ’™ Life is made up of the little things, isn't it? 🌼

The places we love visiting.
The hobbies we never want to give up.
The people we enjoy spending time with.
The little routines that make a day feel like our day.

Getting older doesn't mean those things stop mattering.

And needing a little extra support doesn't mean giving them up, either.

At Friends With Emma, we believe companionship is about helping people continue enjoying life in ways that matter to them.

Because it's not just about getting through the day. It's about still having things to look forward to. πŸ’™

Tell us: what's one little thing that always makes your day better? We'd love to hear from you! 🌼

πŸ’™ A little reminder for our local families… we're here if you need us. 🌼

Sometimes, asking for support is the hardest part.

You might have started noticing that a parent is spending more time alone, that getting out and about isn't as easy as it used to be, or that you simply wish somebody could pop in regularly when you can't be there yourself.

That's where Friends With Emma may be able to help.

We're a local companionship and home help service supporting adults to maintain their independence, enjoy their interests and feel more connected.

We offer regular visits, friendly companionship and practical help around the home, tailored to the individual.

πŸ’™ We're currently looking to welcome a few more people into our visiting schedule, so if you've been considering some extra support for yourself or someone you love, now is a lovely time to have a chat.

There's no pressure and no obligation. We can arrange a free introduction so you can meet us and see whether we're the right fit.

🌼 Behind every Friends With Emma visit, there's a person who genuinely wants to make a difference. πŸ’™

One of the things I'm proudest of isn't just how Friends With Emma has grown. It's the people who make it what it is.

Our companions bring their own personalities, experiences and interests to the people they visit.

They get to know the person, learn what matters to them and build relationships that go beyond simply turning up for a visit.

Because companionship isn't one-size-fits-all.

One person might love getting out and about. Another might enjoy a particular hobby, a trip to the shops or simply having someone to talk things through with.

It's about the individual, their choices and the things that make their life their own.

I'm grateful to have a team helping me deliver something I care so much about. πŸ’™

So, if you've ever wondered what makes a good companion, I'd say it's someone who takes the time to see the person, not just the visit.

πŸ’™ Have you started worrying about Mum or Dad living alone?

Perhaps you've noticed they're not getting out as much as they used to.

Maybe they seem a little lonelier, their confidence has dipped, or every time you ring, you wonder how they've really been since you last saw them.

And perhaps you're trying to juggle work, your own family and everything else life throws at you, wishing you could be there a little more often.

First of all, you're not failing them. ❀️

You can't always be there, and that doesn't mean you don't care.

Sometimes, what makes a difference is having another familiar, friendly face in their week. Someone who visits regularly, takes an interest in them as a person and supports them to keep enjoying life on their own terms.

That's what we do at Friends With Emma.

We're a companionship and home help service supporting adults to maintain their independence, enjoy their interests and feel less alone.

We also understand how reassuring it can be for families to know someone is popping in.

And if you're not sure whether we're the right fit, we're happy to arrange a free, no-obligation introduction so you can meet us and have a chat.

No pressure. Just a conversation. πŸ’™πŸŒΌ

πŸ’™ Sometimes, it's the little things that make the biggest difference. 🌼

It's not always about needing lots of help.

Sometimes, it's about having someone alongside you who encourages you to do the things you've always enjoyed.

Getting out and about when you've become less confident.

Picking up a hobby you've missed.

Having a proper catch-up with someone who remembers what you told them last week.

Or simply having something lovely to look forward to.

At Friends With Emma, we know that independence doesn't mean having to do absolutely everything alone.

Sometimes, the right support helps you keep doing more of the things that make life yours. πŸ’™

That's why we do what we do.

Because life should be about living, not just getting through the day.

πŸ’™ Sometimes, the people we worry about most are the ones who tell us they're absolutely fine.

β€œMum's fine.”

β€œDad's managing.”

β€œThey'd tell me if they needed anything.”

And perhaps they are managing. Perhaps they really are fine.

But sometimes, life can become a little smaller without anybody quite noticing.

Fewer outings. Fewer visits. Hobbies quietly put to one side. More days spent at home because it's easier that way.

And the family? They're busy juggling work, children, homes and a hundred other responsibilities, often worrying about someone they love even when they're not there.

Here's something I think we sometimes forget…

Support doesn't have to mean taking over.

Sometimes, it's simply having another friendly face in the week. Someone to chat with, share an interest with, help with a few things at home or accompany you when you fancy getting out.

A little more company. A little more confidence. Something to look forward to.

That's why companionship matters. Not because someone can't manage, but because everyone deserves connection, friendship and the chance to keep enjoying life.

At Friends With Emma, that's what we're here for. πŸ’™

If this reminds you of someone you love, perhaps it's a conversation worth having.

πŸ’™ It's not about taking over. It's about helping people keep living life their way. πŸ’™

Getting a little older, living alone or finding everyday tasks more difficult doesn't mean someone should have to give up the things they enjoy.

Sometimes, a little companionship and support can make all the difference.

It might mean getting out and about again, enjoying a favourite hobby, having someone to chat to, or simply feeling more confident doing the things that matter to you. πŸ’™

At Friends With Emma, we're not there to take over someone's life. We're there to help them continue living it.

We believe in friendship, independence, dignity and treating every person as an individual.

And for families who worry about a loved one spending too much time alone, knowing there's a familiar, friendly face visiting regularly can bring real peace of mind, too. πŸ’™

That's what Friends With Emma is all about.

πŸ’™ Lots of new followers so...
Hi πŸ‘‹
I'm Emma. The founder of Friends With Emma πŸ’™

Over almost 10 years, Friends With Emma has grown into something I'm incredibly proud of. What began as a little round has become a service built around real relationships, trust, familiar faces and the belief that friendship can make a genuine difference to someone's life.

I'm proud of the people who have joined me on this journey. I'm proud of the companionship we provide, the independence we help people to maintain, and the moments of happiness we've been lucky enough to be part of.
And, I'm grateful for all the families who trust us πŸ’™

Of course, running a business isn't always easy. There have been challenges, lessons and moments when I've had to dig deep. But whenever I think about how I started, I remember that this has never been just about filling diaries or growing a business.

So, if you're new here, hello! πŸ‘‹ I'm Emma. The wife, the mum, the Granny, the Companion and the woman behind Friends With Emma.

Thank you for being part of our journey, whether you've been with us from the beginning or you've only just found us.

Here's to continuing to enhance lives through friendship, one person, one visit and one relationship at a time. πŸ’™πŸŒΌ
