Making honey and lime ice cream! 🍯

Laura couldn't get the song out of her head, so she's been humming it non-stop and making us all smile. Christine cleaned up the spoon when we finished, and very much enjoyed it. The ice cream was so tasty, we'll definitely be making it again. 😋

Our residents and team came together to enjoy a mindful painting session. One of our residents took real pride in creating his finished pebble, working alongside the team with such focus. We loved seeing his confidence shine through as he admired what he'd made.

Philip loves when we print photos of him to remind him of his adventures. 📸✨

He's able to look back whenever he likes, and enjoys talking through the memories behind them with whoever is nearby. Our team love reminiscing together with Phillip and creating opportunities for new stories to be told.

From April planting to summer blooms. Just look at our beautiful sunflowers! 🌻

Back in Spring, we planted sunflower seeds and the results are finally in. Lynn's grew the tallest at 122cm and Hilda came closest with her guess of 200cm. Christine's was the first to bloom with Laura's red sunflower in close second.

It's been a joy to watch them climb together, week in, week out. They're still standing tall, so make sure you take a look the next time you visit!

Gerry's Seaside Musical show reminded us why we love a good singalong. 🌞

Residents sung along, tapping their feet and Keith was delighted to get his request in: Knees Up Mother Brown. They didn't stop smiling all day and sang right through to teatime. That's the power of live music here at Dunniwood Lodge.

Residents enjoyed coffee and cake, swapping stories about how it's has changed over the years. There's something special about revisiting a spot you know well and experiencing it with new friends. A lovely afternoon of reflection and great company.

Welcoming our loved ones on our minibus adventures. 🚐

It was lovely to be joined by Ann's husband on our recent trip to Whitby's for their famous fish and chips. This was the first time he'd come out with us and both he and Ann spent the whole afternoon smiling.

Mary's stories of Egypt sparked the most wonderful conversations this week. 🐪

We've been creating seaside postcards to send to our sister care homes and her memories were our inspiration. We told stories as we wrote, being transported to those meaningful moments in our lives.

We can't wait for our friends to reply. 🌊
