Georgi Dad's Holiday Thoughts , did you just read my mind? šŸ˜‚šŸ‘šŸ¼
ā€œA page that feels like a place rather than a task.ā€ YES. This. Every word. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ā™„ļø

The best decision I made for my page.

There was a time when I paid attention to Facebook’s weekly goals.
Publish this many posts.
Create this many reels.
Keep your audience engaged.
Post consistently.

And, of course, there is nothing wrong with any of that. For businesses and creators with certain goals, it can be useful.

But eventually, I realized something very simple:

I didn’t create this page to work for an algorithm.

I created it because I had something to say.

And one of the best decisions I have made during these two years was to stop worrying about whether Facebook thought I was posting enough.

I stopped trying to fill a weekly quota.

If I have something I want to share, I show up.
If I have a story, I write it.
If a photograph makes me think, I talk about it.
If I have nothing meaningful to say that day, I don’t publish something simply because a little weekly goal tells me I should.

Because ten posts written just to satisfy a number will never mean as much to me as one post I genuinely wanted to write.

The same happened with reels. I used to think more about what Facebook wanted from me. Now I think much more about what I want my page to be.

And strangely enough, once I stopped chasing the algorithm, I started enjoying my page much more.
It became a place again instead of a task.
A place to write.
A place to share photographs.
A place to think out loud.
And most importantly, a place to connect with people.

That last part matters to me.

I will continue visiting other pages, reading people’s stories, leaving comments when I genuinely have something to say, and supporting the people whose work I enjoy.

But I don’t do it with the expectation that they owe me the same in return.

I connect with people. People will connect with me if they want to.

And if they want to read something I have written, they know where to find me.

Maybe that is not the best strategy for growing a page.
Maybe the algorithm would give me different advice.

But after almost two years here, I have learned that I would rather have a page that sounds like me than one that performs perfectly for Facebook.
Numbers rise and fall. Algorithms change. Weekly goals reset every Monday.

But the reason I started writing here has stayed the same.

I wanted a place for my thoughts, my stories, and the people who choose to stop by and read them.

And I think choosing that over the algorithm was one of the best decisions I made for this page.

🩵What if August didn’t have to be ā€œthe month before autumnā€ā€¦ but a gentle new beginning instead?

I’ve been thinking a lot about fresh starts lately, and perhaps we don’t have to wait until January to begin again. I wrote a quiet reflection about National Wellness Month, simple habits, and why August might be the perfect time to come home to ourselves.šŸ™‚

I hope it brings you a little moment of peace. šŸ¤

I’ve been a little quieter than usual these past few days..

To be honest, I’ve completely lost my voice, and it’s been one of those moments where my mind is full of ideas, but my body has other plans.šŸ§˜šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

It made me think… sometimes our minds are ready to move mountainsā›°ļø, while our bodies simply want to drift gently with the river. I’m trying to be kinder to myself and listen instead of pushing through. Even though I couldn’t speak, I could still writešŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸ“š

So today, I’m finally sharing my newest little letter, The Call That Was Never Answered. It’s a gentle reflection on grief, love, remembrance, and the quiet ways the people we love continue to shape us, even after they’re gone.

I simply wanted to leave it here, in case these words find someone who needs them now… or perhaps sometime in the future.

One quiet morning. One call I meant to make. One message that changed everything. A personal reflection on grief, love, memories and the quiet ways we keep loving after goodbye.

…They never stay for long.

They arrive, bloom wildly, make everything softer for a while…and then quietly leave. Sometimes, I think, we become so aware that something won’t last…we forget to enjoy it while it does. We hold tighter. Worry earlier. Start missing things before they have even gone..Perhaps that is one of the quieter ways we leave the present moment.

Not everything beautiful is meant to stay forever. Some things are simply meant to be noticed, felt, remembered. So yes…I stop for the flowers. I admire them. I breathe them in. I probably sniff them with slightly unnecessary enthusiasm. šŸ˜‚

Learning not to mourn the petals
while the flower is still blooming. 🌸
