We’ve all been full of cold at home but for Mason it can become a lot more serious 🤒 He was originally assessed in Grimsby hospital and sent home with a positive result for rhinovirus but he was stable so no treatment needed.

Unfortunately, it seems it has likely developed into a secondary infection so he was admitted to Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity on Thursday evening. He went straight onto oxygen, IV antibiotics and fluids. Today his oxygen has remained stable so we were allowed out for a 30 min walk round the park 🦆🤩

He’s still been needing oxygen through the night so we’ll be staying here for now but hopefully in the next few days we’ll be on our way home.

Even though he’s felt rubbish he’s smiled through it all as always

So happy that we get to spend Christmas this year at home!! 🎄 🎁

Loved spending the evening watching my boys put up their tree together and making the best memories.

Mason has still been struggling with nausea and fatigue from chemo but he’s as determined as ever to make it a magical Christmas. A few more trips to Sheffield left this year then he has less than a year of treatment to go. Over half way and still going strong 🤩
