Be honest.....when did you last have your eyes tested? 👀

August is National Eye Exam Month, so it seems like a good time to ask!

It’s easy to put an eye test off, especially when you feel like your vision hasn’t changed. But an eye examination isn’t just about whether you need new glasses – it’s also an important check on the health of your eyes.

And if you ARE finding yourself squinting at the small print, holding your phone a little further away or blaming every menu for using ridiculously tiny writing... perhaps it’s time 😆

A little pawsitive update from Amber’s first day at work 🐾💕

After a few nerves beforehand, Amber has officially had her first day joining Sarah at work one day a week… and we think she did pretty well! 🥰

There were lots of new sights, sounds and people to meet, but she settled in beautifully and enjoyed being part of the team.

Going on holiday? Here's a few ways to keep your eyes happy too!

We all remember the passport and the sun cream... but don't forget your eyes!

✈️ Flying? Cabin air can be surprisingly dry, so if your eyes are prone to feeling gritty, pop some lubricating eye drops in your hand luggage.

🏊 Love a swim? If you wear contact lenses, it's best to take them out before getting in the pool or the sea. Water can introduce bacteria that increase the risk of eye infections. If you really need to wear lenses, daily disposables with well-fitting swimming goggles are a much safer option.

😎 Don't skip the sunglasses. Make sure they offer proper UV protection—not just a dark tint.

🌼 Hay fever season? Pollen can make your eyes itchy and watery. As tempting as it is, try not to rub them as this can make symptoms worse.

👓 One last tip: Pack a spare pair of glasses. You'll be glad you did if you lose a contact lens or your eyes need a break.
