It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Rita Ball
who passed away on 24th August 2026, aged 66.

Rita was a much-loved wife, nannie, mum, sister, auntie and dear friend. whose warmth, character and love for her family meant so much to so many. She will be remembered with great affection, and her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rita enjoyed the things that made her happiest, especially Northern Soul, gardening and sewing, and these much-loved parts of her life will bring back many happy memories for her family and friends.

Rita’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday 15 September 2026 at 1:00pm at Memoria Doncaster & South Yorkshire Memorial Park & Crematorium, Barnby Dun.

Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to join us at

DN12 3LZ, to continue sharing memories, stories and celebrating Rita’s life together.

The family have chosen Cancer Research UK as the charity to be supported in Rita’s memory.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone who donated, a wonderful total of **£343.31** has been raised for the , including **£60.22 in Gift Aid**.

It is a lovely tribute to William, and we hope it brings some comfort to know that the donations made in his memory will help support the important work of the charity.

Vehicles are checked and prepared, flowers are organised, service details are confirmed, music and photographs are checked, routes are planned and timings are carefully coordinated.
