🧪 Specimen Drop-Off Reminder

We kindly remind all patients that any specimens being dropped off at the surgery must be received by 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

This allows enough time for our team to process them and prepare them for collection by the laboratory.

Please note that specimens received after 4:00pm may not be sent to the lab and may need to be disposed of and repeated, which could delay your results.

The south-west now has a yellow alert in place from 2pm today (22nd May) until 5pm on 27th May.

Remember to drink plenty of water, stay in the shade as much as possible and wear sunscreen.

🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

Please be aware that a section of Long Street (between Abbey Street and Abbey Court) in Cerne Abbas will be closed on Wednesday 27th May due to works being carried out by Wessex Internet.

A diversion route will be in place during the closure and patients should still be able to access the surgery through the village via Back Lane.

Please allow extra time for your journey if you have an appointment scheduled that day.

💊 Prescription Ordering Reminder 💊

Please remember to allow at least 3 clear working days when ordering your repeat prescriptions. You will also need to allow for an extra day on top of that next week as Monday 25th May is a Bank Holiday!

🕘 Dispensary opening times for enquiries & collections:
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9am–1pm & 2pm–6:30pm
• Thursday: 9am–1pm & 2pm–5:30pm

🚶‍♂️‍➡️Men Walking and Talking Group 🚶‍♂️

Men Walking And Talking (MWAT) was founded in 2021 with the aim of bringing men together in a safe space to end the stigma around men's mental health by supporting each other.

There are now 65 groups across 28 counties, including two in Dorset!

The Bournemouth walk takes place on Wednesdays and the Dorchester walk takes place on Tuesdays, both at 6.30pm.
