🇪🇸 🌟 After 321km Sarah, Carole and Pam have COMPLETED their walk along the Camino Primivito! 🌟 🇪🇸

Walking all the way from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela, they have experienced just about every terrain and weather condition imaginable!

🥳 Congratulations guys, it’s time to put your feet up with something cold to drink 🍻

They have raised an amazing amount of money for our parent accommodation improvements, currently £1600!

Awesome team - we are lucky enough to have some wonderful children’s nurses that make up part of our neonatal team! 🥰

Today (30 June) marks the first ever National Children’s Nurses Day, which aims to celebrate the significant impact these colleagues have on children, young people and their families every single day.

Celebrations have been held by a number of teams, including on our Kingfisher Ward and in the Emergency Department.

We have over 70 registered children’s nurses working as part of . A big thank you to our staff for your dedication and compassion. You make a world of difference to children's lives and we're incredibly proud of you all!

🙌 100km to go for Sarah, Carole and Pam! 🙌
They have made it safely to Lugo in the Galicia region of Spain. They have treated themselves to a much deserved night in a hotel - rumour has it they have sheets and towels tonight!
I’ll spare you the pictures Sarah sent us of her toenails and blisters 😂

That’s another day of tough hill climbs completed, taking them to O Cádavo. 15 miles today - well over the 100 mile mark now.
Anyone who knows Sarah well enough will be surprised (and pleased) to know she hasn’t tripped and fallen down any hills! 😂

Sarah and crew have made it through another day of walking! This walk took them 1100m up into the mountains, that’s not easy in 39c heat!

Yesterday and today’s update from Sarah and team 🫶🏼

Yesterday they walked 10 miles, mostly uphill, and today it has been very challenging because of the heat but they still managed an amazing 9 miles from Tineo to Comporiella 🇪🇸
