Today on what would have been his 100th birthday, we honour pioneering heart surgeon René Favaloro - the man who performed the world’s first coronary artery bypass surgery, the first cardiac transplant in Argentina, and set up one of South America’s most prestigious medical institutions.

We also acknowledge alongside his invaluable contributions to Cardiology, his firm beliefs that without teamwork and the many works of surgeons and hospital teams before him, that his medical advancements wouldn’t have been possible.

We are pleased to welcome Physiotherapist Henry Copson to The Winterbourne team.

Henry qualified from the University of Brighton in 2018 and has spent most of his career working in the Musculoskeletal setting and trauma/orthopaedics.

He has built vast experience assessing, treating, and managing acute pains and injuries, as well as longstanding chronic pain in the upper limb, lower limb, and spine.

Henry enjoys treating a variety of MSK conditions, including muscular/joint pain, nerve pain, traumatic injuries, and post-operative care (elective and trauma).

Treatment options may include:

🔷 Rehabilitation (both early rehab and late stage/return to sport)

- home exercise programs
- joint sessions in the gym
