A shortened stride, an intermittently lifted limb or difficulty rising may seem to direct us towards a particular joint or tissue. Yet what we see is not always a simple reflection of where dysfunction began.

Your practice can be a place of possibility—not pressure.

It can grow around the life you want to live, the people you want to serve, and the work that matters most to you.

I’m creating something new for those ready to explore what that could look like—with support, space to think, and no need to have it all figured out.

More soon.

DM me if you want to be kept informed or send me an email at [email protected] and I'll make sure to include you in updates.

Canine Spine: Advanced Clinical Assessment CPD Event for Vets, Veterinary Professionals and Animal Osteopaths.

Course Overview:
This workshop will next run on 27th and 28th November 2026.
This two-day workshop is ideal if you:
• Have difficulty localising spinal dysfunction within complex biomechanical cases.
• Wish you could assess spinal joints and associated musculature more effectively.
• Feel that diagnostic imaging results don’t always correlate with clinical presentation.
• Have limited access to structured training in spinal palpation, mobility testing and functional assessment.

Join us for an immersive, face-to-face small-group 2-day CPD event designed to refine and elevate your clinical assessment of the canine spine.

Through a blend of theory, demonstration, and hands-on practical sessions, this workshop will deepen your understanding of spinal anatomy, arthrokinematics, muscle testing, passive assessment and clinical localisation, helping you approach clinical cases with more confidence, accuracy and efficiency.

This is a relaxed, discussion-rich environment where you can ask questions, explore case examples, and practise techniques under close guidance — ideal for professionals who enjoy learning through doing.

When is the workshop?
This workshop will run on 27th and 28th November 2026. The first campaign run will go out today. Contact us for more details: [email protected]

Key Take-Homes from the workshop
• Strengthen your functional understanding of canine spinal anatomy.
• Improve your spinal palpation and passive movement assessment skills.
• Learn muscle testing methods and what they reveal about spinal function and compensation.
• Develop a structured, confident approach to spinal evaluation and clinical localisation.
• Return to clinic with immediately applicable techniques.

Where is the workshop held?
The workshop is held The New Forest, Hampshire.

There is ample onsite parking at the locations we use. Lymington and Lyndhurst are surrounded by hotels and Airbnbs, so it is easy to find a dog-friendly place to stay.
Early booking is recommended.

RIP Monty Roberts 🕊️
This man changed the way we work with horses. He opened thousands of eyes to a better way. He moved barriers others said could not be overcome. And he was one of the teachers who shaped AOI.
It was through his work that we explored other ways of working. Developed a method of animal osteopathy that allowed freedom of movement during treatment, instead of limitation. And reminded us to put kindness first.
Monty, you will be missed, but never forgotten. With love to Monty’s family at this sad time.
And to our teammate, Jenny Ahlroth who knew Monty personally as her mentor of many years. We’re sorry for your loss.
