🐾🏆 SILVERWAYS MINI CRUFTS – WHAT A PAWSOME DAY! 🏆🐾

What a wonderful afternoon we had today celebrating International Dog Day with our very own Silverways Mini Crufts Dog Show! 🐶❤️

Our residents absolutely loved the show and thoroughly enjoyed meeting, admiring and fussing over all our gorgeous four-legged competitors. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and wagging tails, making it a truly memorable afternoon for everyone. 🥰🐾

And, of course, our fabulous contestants had their moment of glory as they walked the “red dog runaway”! 🐕✨ They certainly knew how to make an entrance and had everyone watching, smiling and cheering them on! 👏🐾

A huge thank you to all the wonderful dog owners who brought their beloved pets along to take part, and to all the families and friends who joined us and helped make the afternoon so special.

Our lovely canine stars — Amber, Lola, Vinnie, Scrabble, Pepper and Mabel — certainly made a lasting impression and brought so much joy to everyone present. 🐕💕 Each one was a very special contestant!

And, of course, the cherry on top of the cake was our adorable Teddy, who decided that the judges’ corner was the place to be and joined our judging team! 🐶👑 What a perfect little judge!

It was an afternoon filled with dogs, laughter, friendship and lots of love — exactly what International Dog Day should be about. ❤️🐾

Thank you to everyone who made our Silverways Mini Crufts such a memorable occasion!

National Prosecco Day is celebrated annually on 13 August, honouring Italy’s beloved sparkling wine and encouraging festive toasts and enjoyment.

Nikkie from our Activities Team explained that our ladies and gents were all keen to join in the celebrations with a glass of bubbly. Everyone enjoyed a little fizz, after all, it would have been wrong not to!

We celebrated National Day of Friendship with a fun-filled afternoon of BINGO, bringing everyone together for plenty of laughter, smiles and friendly competition. 💙

There were lots of giggles as the numbers were called, especially when no one seemed to have “Joy” or “Neighbours” on their cards! 🤭

It’s the shared moments, laughter and companionship that make days like these so special, reminding us that friendship comes in many wonderful forms.

Our recent Residents’ Meeting was a fantastic success! 💙

It was wonderful to see so many residents sharing their ideas, suggestions and feedback for our leisure programme. Everyone enjoyed having the opportunity to have their say, helping us plan activities that truly reflect their interests and wishes.

At Silverways, we believe every voice matters. These meetings are a great way to ensure our residents feel respected, valued and listened to, while giving them the chance to play an active role in shaping life in our home.

🌟 Enjoying Time Out in the Community 🌟

Today, two of our lovely gentlemen enjoyed a lunch outing to a local restaurant. It was a wonderful opportunity to get out and about, enjoy a change of scenery, spend quality time together, and be part of the local community.

These simple outings can make such a positive difference, bringing smiles, conversation, and new experiences. 💙

✈️ "Welcome aboard Silverways Airways!" 🍷🧀🎶

Our lovely ladies and gentlemen enjoyed a first-class afternoon as we celebrated National Wine & Cheese Day with a delightful musical journey around the world.

Our wonderful in-flight entertainment was provided by the talented Duo Serenade – Mark Busell on piano and Tracey Tardif on vocals and saxophone – whose beautiful performance filled our lounge with familiar favourites, joyful melodies and plenty of smiles.

Meanwhile, our "cabin crew" served delicious platters of cheeses, crackers and fresh grapes, accompanied by a choice of red or white wine from our refreshment trolley, making everyone feel as though they were travelling in first class.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on this special flight. We hope you enjoyed the journey as much as we enjoyed creating it!
