Happy Birthday, Sue! ❤️🎂

Our lovely Sue had a very special birthday, celebrating with a wonderful trip to Christchurch with her family. 🥰
We made Sue a special birthday sash to wear, and she asked us to put “26 Again!” on it! 🎉 Sue told us she had a lovely time and was delighted that everyone kept wishing her a very Happy Birthday.
When Sue returned to Fairmile Grange, Sandra was entertaining us with some beautiful music on the piano. 🎹 The whole lounge joined in and sang Happy Birthday to Sue as Sandra played — what a lovely welcome home!

And the birthday celebrations didn’t stop there! Later, our Nurses and Carers gathered around Sue and sang Happy Birthday once again as we brought out her beautiful birthday cake, lovingly made by our Chef. 🎂

It was such a lovely day filled with family, music, laughter and lots of birthday wishes.
Happy 26th Birthday, Sue! we hope you had a truly wonderful day!

Annie celebrated her 99th Birthday earlier this week and she had a lovely day!

A Summer Fair to Remember! ☀️🎉 Part three the amazing Fairmile Team !!!

This is the last in our Summer Fair Trilogy

Fairmile Grange was filled with sunshine, smiles, music and laughter as we welcomed our wonderful relatives, friends and members of our Fairmile Grange family to our Summer Fair! 💛

All made possible by the fantastic Fairmile Grange Care Home team who all came together to ensure our community,residents ,familes and friends had the best time having fun and making memories

Every person who played a part in making it the best day filled with laughter,lovely food prepared by chef Paul and the catering team , great entertainment arranged by our wellbeing team who really know what our residents and familes enjoy

Wellbeing team Andrea Susie and Karen admin manager who supported with fufilling the vision and certainly pulled it off

Karen for her never ending support in all departments alongside her lolly dolly role 🍦

The wellbeing team and Jamie who hung the bunting and Sian alongside Lyndsay who got a free work out moving all the furniture as well as keeping residents and families entertained

The care team who supported the residents to have a great day of fun and laughter bringing the home alive

There was plenty of fun and laughter too, with residents joining in with our Hook A Duck game with Zoe and Jamie as well as trying their luck at the tombola with Kia and Chris , where there were lots of fantastic prizes to be won! 🎟️🏆

And who could forget our Human Fruit Machine?! 🍒🍋🍊 A huge thank you to our wonderful Wellbeing Team Andrea and Susie alongside Scott, our Head of Housekeeping, for getting involved and giving everyone so many laughs !

A Summer Fair to Remember! ☀️🎉 Part two fun fun fun 🤣

Fairmile Grange was filled with sunshine, smiles, music and laughter as we welcomed our wonderful relatives, friends and members of our Fairmile Grange family to our Summer Fair! 💛

There was plenty of fun and laughter too, with residents joining in with our Hook A Duck game and trying their luck at the tombola, where there were lots of fantastic prizes to be won! 🎟️🏆

🔥 PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE — HELP US PROTECT THE NEW FOREST 🔥

It really is simple, people.

NO BBQs.
NO fires.
NO campfires.
NO stoves — not even to make a cup of tea.

I know it sounds harmless. “It’ll only take a minute.”
“I’ll be really careful.”
“It won’t happen to me.”

But when the Forest is this dry, one tiny mistake can become a devastating wildfire.

☕ Want a cup of tea? Please visit one of our fabulous local cafés, tea rooms or farm shops instead. They’ll be delighted to see you, and your money will help support the local businesses that make our Forest communities so special.

🚬 If you smoke, please be ridiculously careful with your cigarette butts. Never throw them onto the ground. That tiny glowing ember could be all it

🍾 Take your litter home. Glass bottles and other rubbish have no place being left on the Forest. Glass can contribute to fires, and broken glass can cause horrific injuries to our wildlife, ponies and other animals.

Please don't be the person who thinks, “It'll be fine.”

Because it might not be.

The New Forest is incredibly precious. It is home to wildlife, ponies, livestock, people and a landscape that has been shaped over centuries.

And right now, with these drought conditions, it needs every single one of us to take responsibility.

This isn't about spoiling anyone's day out.
It's about making sure there is still a New Forest to enjoy tomorrow.

A Summer Fair to Remember! ☀️🎉 Part one

This time last week, Fairmile Grange was filled with sunshine, smiles, music and laughter as we welcomed our wonderful relatives, friends and members of our Fairmile Grange family to our Summer Fair! 💛

What an amazing turnout we had! It was so lovely to see everyone coming together and enjoying such a special afternoon with our residents.

🍔 Chef Paul kept everyone well fed with a fantastic barbecue, while we were treated to some fabulous live music from the renowned Sarah Bolter on saxophone 🎷 and the wonderful Curly the Busker, who had everyone singing, clapping and dancing along to lots of happy, upbeat favourites. 🎶👏

Most importantly, the whole afternoon was about bringing our Fairmile Grange community together and raising money for our Residents’ Fund, which helps us provide even more wonderful experiences and activities for our residents. A huge thank you to Kay and her colleagues from the Baptist church for manning our wonderful cake stall and all who provided us with the most delicious Cakes and Bakes! 😋

It really was a day filled with music, laughter, sunshine and togetherness — exactly what summer is all about! ☀️💛

A Very Happy Birthday to our lovely Christine! 🌸

Yesterday was a lovely day as we celebrated Christine’s birthday here at Fairmile Grange Care Home. 💕Christine started the day with a visit from our very own Home budgies Bluebell and Buttercup, whilst enjoying pastries & coffee and opening her cards 🦜
Christine then enjoyed a wonderful group morning session with Jules from 'Love to Move' Christine absolutely loves music, and the whole room joined in to sing Happy Birthday to her, which brought the biggest smile to her face! 🎶
Later in the afternoon Christine enjoyed a fabulous birthday cake made by Chef Paul and a visit from her daughter, along with the most beautiful bunch of flowers! 🎂
And, of course, there were lots of wonderful cuddles with Carrie the Cavachon who was visiting residents! 🐶
Christine is such a lovely friendly lady who absolutely adores animals, music and spending time with the people she loves. It was heartwarming to see her enjoying such a beautiful birthday 🌸💕

🐴💕 A very special visitor at Fairmile Grange Care Home! 💕

There were smiles all around as our wonderful residents welcomed the beautiful miniature horse, Bambi, from Linking Hearts.

Bambi is 4 years old and it was her first visit to see us. She was accompanied by the lovely Megan and Sharon who normally bring her big brother Mr Kelloggs.

Bambi made room-to-room visits, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to enjoy a gentle stroke, share a cuddle, and spend some precious time with this calm and affectionate little horse.

For many of our residents, it brought back treasured memories of a lifetime spent with animals, while for others it simply offered comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles.

Animal visits like these can have such a positive impact on wellbeing, helping to reduce anxiety, encourage conversation, spark happy memories, and create meaningful moments of connection. It was truly heartwarming to see the joy Bambi brought to everyone.

A huge thank you to Linking Hearts, Megan, and Sharon for making our day so special. We can't wait to welcome you and lovely Bambi back to Fairmile Grange! ❤️

Karen and Andrea took a few of our ladies from Fairmile Grange on a shopping trip to Castlepoint shopping centre recently 🛍️💙

They enjoyed a visit to M&S where there was plenty of browsing, shopping, and smiles all around.

It's always wonderful to get out and about, enjoy a change of scenery, and spend quality time together as well as any excuse to treat ourselves something we should do more often 😊

A Delightful Afternoon at Fairmile Grange 🍪
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Fairmile Grange Nursing Home, spending time together baking delicious homemade shortbread while listening to the soothing sounds of classical music. 🎼
The aroma of freshly baked shortbread filled the home, bringing back happy memories and sparking lots of conversation and laughter. Baking is a fantastic way to encourage creativity, reminiscence, and social interaction, making it a truly enjoyable activity for everyone.
A relaxing afternoon, wonderful company, and tasty treats – the perfect recipe for making special memories! 💕
