Happy 12th birthday to the one who started it all. My own Harley. I wouldn’t be where I am now without you, you taught me a lot and started me down the path to being a myotherapist, here’s to more adventures in the future!

Great advise from Pawsitive Touch, the slippery ground can really make a difference to our dogs. 🐕

So at the end of our walk today I thought to myself ‘that felt like more effort then normal!’ It was a walk we do a lot - paths, cross country, uphill, downhill, flat etc. The reason it was a bit more of an effort then normal was because it was really slippy and muddy after all this rain. Without even realising I will have had multiple micro slips and my muscles and joints will have worked harder. This will be the same for you dogs - don’t underestimate the impact this wet weather could have on their joints and muscles and they may fatigue quicker and as they’re not always good at telling us! Keep an eye out for those subtle signs!

Happy new year everyone!
Wishing you all the best for 2026.
I have plenty of Saturday availability to start the new year, so please do get in touch if you’d like to book your dogs in or have a chat about how myotherapy could benefit them.
Ps, don’t forget your dogs coats to keep those muscles warm on these cold morning, and a proper warm up before any strenuous activity as well as a cool down is even more important in the cold temperatures!

Exciting times ahead!
