As part of Dementia Action Week, we’re exploring how meaningful activities can make a difference.

In this part of Irene’s journey, we explore how music therapy plays an important role in daily life.

These sessions support physical wellbeing, boost mood, encourage social connection and bring moments of joy.

Watch to see how engaging with music can make a meaningful difference.

As part of Dementia Action Week, we’re looking at the importance of connection and community.

Living with dementia doesn’t mean facing it alone.

Dementia cafés, support groups and community events offer a safe and welcoming space for people living with dementia and their families to connect, share experiences and find support.

Care homes also play an important role, providing not just care and support, but a sense of community, routine and belonging.

If you or someone you know is affected by dementia, reaching out can make a real difference. You can find more information at https://mha.org.uk/care-support/types-care-support/dementia-care
