This is a donation-only event, with all proceeds going to Thyroid Cancer Research. Every cup of coffee helps support vital research and makes a difference.

A thank you to Rev Thea for joining us today and leading a lovely Holy Communion for our residents. It’s always so special to be able to offer these meaningful moments within our home. 🙏✨

And of course… where there’s a piano, there’s Victor! 😂🎹 He couldn’t resist having a little go and providing us with some musical entertainment!

☀️A truly wonderful Summer Fun Day! ☀️

At The Laurels, we say “our family caring for yours”, and today really showed exactly what those words mean. Residents, relatives, staff, children, friends, local businesses and our community all coming together as one big family, creating precious moments and memories. 💜

What a fantastic day we’ve had, and our hearts are incredibly full. From the sunshine and children laughing on the bouncy castle, to the smell of the BBQ, browsing the stalls and seeing our residents surrounded by their families, friends and our local community. 🥰
There are so many thank yous to give 💜

A huge THANK YOU to Tesco and Lidl GB for generously sponsoring our BBQ. 🍔🌭

A massive THANK YOU to all of the wonderful local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle. 🎟️🎁 We were completely overwhelmed by your generosity and willingness to support us.
Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in the fun, bought raffle tickets, donated and helped us raise funds.
Thank you to all of our lovely stallholders for giving up your time and bringing something extra to our day. ✨

And finally, the biggest and most heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible staff team. 💜 So much hard work, preparation and teamwork goes on behind the scenes to make days like this happen. Thank you for giving your time, working so hard and, as always, making sure our residents were at the heart of everything we did.

From all of us at The Laurels THANK YOU! We are so lucky to have such wonderful support around us.

And of course The Home Manager , The Deputy Manager and Wellbeing Lead had ago on the bouncy castle , we will save that video for a rainy day

🐾 A little bit of pet therapy this morning with beautiful Bea the Maltese! 🐶💕

Bea brought plenty of smiles and cuddles this morning. We chatted about Dennis’ much-loved dog, Chutney, and shared lots of lovely memories and stories of pets we’ve had over the years. ❤️

Pet therapy is a wonderful way to lift mood, encourage conversation and bring back happy memories 🥰🐾

What a fantastic Coffee Morning! ☕💐

It was wonderful to see so many people join us, making it another well-attended morning. Some beautiful flower bouquets created thank you to Bouquet Florist, Somerset for donating the flowers.
All proceeds from today’s coffee morning will go to Draycott & Rodney Stoke First School. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome you back to our next Coffee Morning on 1st September, where we’ll be raising money for Thyroid Cancer. We hope to see you there!
