A Morning Filled with Music

There’s something special about hearing a favourite song, especially when you can share it with someone you love. At Dorset House, Corrine brought a little magic to the morning with music, giving residents the chance to express themselves through song and simply enjoy the moment.

Terry and his wife were pictured enjoying a relaxing morning together, with a coffee and music they love.

Afternoon Tea, Made Together

There was plenty of concentration and joy at Dorset House as residents got involved in making their own afternoon sandwiches. Everyone had their own preferences too – some liked cheese, some chose cheese and jam, while others preferred their sandwiches without butter!

It was a lovely opportunity to enjoy some independence and choice, while bringing back memories from years gone by. And, of course, the sandwiches were enjoyed over afternoon tea.

A paws-itively lovely day at Dorset House!

Dorset House held its very first dog show, with a brilliant agility course on the lawn and plenty of little and big dogs for residents to meet, pet and make friends with.

The dogs were treated to some well-earned treats and rosettes, while residents enjoyed watching the fun and sharing plenty of smiles and laughter.

And, of course, no Dorset House event would be complete without afternoon tea!

A lovely day bringing residents, staff, their four-legged friends and the wider community together.

Residents at Dorset House enjoyed a lovely afternoon of sharing memories, bringing in photographs of loved ones and special moments from their lives.

Margaret brought along a lovely photograph of her husband, while Diana shared photos from throughout her life with her family.

Getting Creative with Flowers

Residents at Dorset House enjoyed a relaxing morning of arts and crafts, creating colourful flowers using different textures and materials.

Charlie chose to make a flower decorated with buttons, while Margaret created hers using patterned paper. It was lovely to see everyone getting creative and letting their imaginations guide them.

A lovely morning of creativity, conversation and time spent together.

Michael enjoyed a lovely birthday at Dorset House, surrounded by his care team and lots of love and attention.

He enjoyed his birthday cake and, as someone with a sweet tooth who loves cakes and chocolate, it was certainly a day of treats!

The Perfect Summer Treat!

On one of the hottest days of the year, residents at Dorset House were treated to a delicious ice cream in the cool of the home.

The catering team brought out plenty of ice creams for residents and team members to enjoy, making it the perfect way to cool down and enjoy a sweet treat together.

A big thank you to Karen and the catering team for keeping everyone cool!
