🌿 OIL OF THE WEEK — LAVENDER 🌿
You asked for more informative posts, so we’re bringing a little more education into our Oil of the Week series — sharing not just the oils we use in clinic, but why we use them too.
Lavender is probably one of the best-known essential oils, but there’s much more to it than simply smelling lovely.
Traditionally used for centuries in bathing and self-care rituals, Lavender is now widely used in aromatherapy, skincare and body care. Its soft floral aroma is particularly associated with creating a calm, relaxing environment, which is why you’ll often find it in evening routines, massage blends and products designed to help you switch off.
🌿 A few ways Lavender can be used:
• Diffused to create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere
• Added to a carrier oil for massage or body care
• Used as part of an evening wind-down ritual
• Added into skincare and self-care routines
And if you've spent any time at Radiant, you'll know Lavender is definitely Lauren's favourite oil in the clinic… 👀😂
Although, if you've read that particular description of what your choice of Lavender apparently says about you from the book we have in clinic, Lauren would like it officially noted that she feels personally attacked. 🤣
Which got us thinking… would you be interested in finding out what your favourite essential oil might say about you? 👀🌿 Because that could make for a VERY interesting little series…
And if you're already an essential oil lover, let us know in the comments which oil you naturally gravitate towards and how you use it. We’d love to hear your favourite ways to use them.
Love,
The Radiant Team x
