☀️ LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SOLAR ECLIPSE TODAY? HERE’S HOW TO PROTECT YOUR EYES! 🕶️❌Today, Wednesday 12 August 2026, a rare and exciting partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK! While it’s an incredible event to witness, looking directly at the Sun can cause permanent damage to your eyesight—even when it's partially covered.Normal sunglasses, phone cameras, and binoculars WILL NOT protect your eyes. Here is how you can enjoy the eclipse completely safely:😎 Use Certified Eclipse Glasses: Ensure they meet international safety standards (ISO 12312-2). Do not use them if they are scratched or damaged.📦 Make a Pinhole Projector: A fun, quick DIY project using two pieces of cardboard or paper to project the shadow of the eclipse onto the ground. Never look through the pinhole at the sun!📺 Watch it Online: Look out for live streams from astronomy groups or news channels for a perfectly safe, crystal-clear view from your phone or TV.Enjoy this amazing event safely, and make sure to remind your family and friends to protect their eyes too! 👇

🌑 DO NOT MISS THIS ON WEDNESDAY! 🌑
Mark your calendars for this Wednesday evening, 12th August! We are about to witness the biggest solar eclipse visible since 1999.
The Moon is going to block out over 90% of the Sun, turning daylight into an eerie twilight. It all kicks off around 6:15 PM, peaks just after 7:10 PM, and finishes by 8:00 PM as the Sun sets.
⚠️ Warning: If you miss this one, you are going to be waiting a VERY long time. The UK won't get another deep eclipse like this until 2050, and the next total solar eclipse here isn't until 2090!
Make sure you grab some certified ISO-rated eclipse glasses (no, normal sunglasses won't cut it!)
Find a clear view of the western horizon and pray for clear skies! 🤞☁️~SolarEclipse2026

Moving forward from :
Keeping the focus on unpaid carers all year round.
Last month's campaign highlighted the challenges caregivers face, but the need for Carer Friendly Communities doesn't end when the awareness week finishes.
Unpaid carers require consistent, practical support every single day.
