One of the hardest parts of grief is that the world keeps moving while yours feels completely different.

People often think grief is just sadness, but it can be exhaustion, brain fog, anxiety, guilt and loneliness… sometimes all in the same day.

Even the smallest tasks can suddenly feel overwhelming.

If you’re grieving someone you love right now, please be gentle with yourself.

🤍 Eat when you can.�🤍 Rest when you need to.�🤍 Step outside for some fresh air.�🤍 Say their name.�🤍 Cry if you need to.�🤍 And on the days where all you’ve managed to do is simply get through the day, that is enough.

The idea that you should be "over it" by a certain point is one of the most unhelpful myths about bereavement.

Grief doesn't follow a schedule.
It comes in waves, sometimes predictable, sometimes not.
