🌟 We're incredibly proud of our very own Amy Armiger, Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Appletree Medical Practice. 🌟

Amy has worked alongside colleagues from Belper Primary Care Network and ARCH PCN to help develop a new series of accessible videos designed to support people with learning disabilities to better understand cancer awareness and screening.

The videos cover a range of important topics including bowel, breast, cervical, testicular and ovarian cancers, as well as general cancer screening information and a powerful personal story. They have been co-designed with people with lived experience to ensure the information is clear, practical and easy to understand.

People with learning disabilities can face additional barriers in accessing health information and screening services. Resources such as these play an important role in reducing health inequalities, encouraging conversations and supporting earlier access to care.

A huge well done to Amy and everyone involved in this fantastic piece of collaborative work. 👏💙

We know that attending screening can feel worrying or confusing, and this video aims to provide reassurance, build confidence, and support informed decision-making.

We are looking to recruit two part-time Practice Nurses to provide high quality, professional care to our patients.

14-28 hours per week

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and well-Organised with excellent communication skills.

We currently have a vacancy for GP Receptionist
-13.75 hours per week (3 shifts per week), these will be set shifts to be agreed at offer stage.
-Overtime available for holiday and sickness cover.

FLEXIBILITY IS ESSENTIAL as you will also be asked to provide sick / annual leave cover.

We are looking for the appropriate candidates to have experience in customer care; who have the energy and enthusiasm to work with our Reception Team, in a fast paced environment to deliver constantly improving levels of service to our diverse patient group and associated healthcare professionals.

📢 Important update to our appointment system 📢
From Monday 13th April 2026, Appletree Medical Practice will be moving to a Total Triage appointment system.
🔹 What does this mean?
All appointment requests will start with a simple online form, which will be reviewed by a GP. This helps us make sure you are directed to the right clinician, at the right time, and that urgent problems are identified quickly.
🔹 How do I request an appointment?
Patients will be asked to complete an online form via our website. If you are unable to access the internet, please contact reception who will be happy to help.
🔹 Do I use the form for appointments with the nursing team?
No, the nursing team appointment booking remains the same - please contact the reception team to book in for wound checks, asthma reviews, diabetes reviews, etc
