“Final Journey into Roucan Loch” is a fitting memorial choice for those who wish their ashes to be laid to rest within the peaceful waters of Roucan Loch. It is often chosen by people with a love of sailing, fishermen and those who wish to return to nature in a serenely beautiful place.

The Journey Urn is beautifully handcrafted from sustainably produced biodegradable paper and wildflowers. Ashes are placed inside for water interment.

Our Funeral Celebrant will conduct a short service for close family from the wooden platform on Roucan Loch, before the Journey Urn is placed in the water, floating briefly before gracefully sinking to its final resting place.

Our friendly team are always happy to discuss your requirements and we welcome visits to Roucan Loch Crematorium and Woodland Burial Site.

Recently, Russell Jardine was the guest speaker at The Last Chapter Cafe - an open gentle space to talk about life, loss and living well. This free event was organised by A Listening Ear and designed to provide a safe, respectful, and confidential space to normalise talking about issues surrounding death - a topic often avoided in everyday society. The event was a great success and we would like to thank the organisers for inviting Jardine Funeral Directors to take part.

Photos of the Dumfries Town model that Mark Jardine MBE commissioned from the Dalbeattie Men's Shed. Geoff Allison who is Chairman appointed David Stott and Rolf Buwert as the coordinators.

The model which is 6 metres square is by far the biggest commission they’ve taken on and has taken eight years to complete. It's absolutely amazing with incredible attention to detail.

It can be viewed at The Town Board (The Hub) on the Vennel, Friday 19 June from 10.00am -2.00pm and also Monday 22nd and Thursday 25th from 10.00am-2.00pm. Thereafter by appointment only. Thanks to Dumfries Town Board for the space to showcase this amazing piece of work. ✨

A memorial bench was unveiled yesterday in the presence of The British Legion at the Dumfries Garden of Remembrance - created by The People’s Project Charity. The bench was dedicated to Major William Turner, a stalwart of the KOSB who was awarded the Military Cross.

Mark Jardine MBE was honoured to receive a donation for The People’s Project from the KOSB Association Dumfries Branch 🙏
