Feeling overwhelmed? You're not alone. 💙

Stress, anxiety and sleep problems can sometimes creep up on us when we least expect them. One day everything feels manageable, and the next our minds are racing.

The good news is that support is available.

NHS Scotland offers free digital programmes, including SilverCloud, Sleepio and Daylight, which can help you manage stress, anxiety and sleep difficulties at a time that suits you.

Whether it's taking a short walk, speaking to someone you trust, or accessing online support, small steps can make a big difference.

Summer Drink / Drug Drive Campaign

Even one drink can slow your reactions, blur your vision, and affect your judgement.

The legal drink-drive limit in Scotland is 50mg per 100ml of blood (equivalent to 22mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath).

Driving over the limit makes you six times more likely to die in a road accident – and alcohol can still be in your system the next day.

Best approach ➡️ If you’re driving, don’t drink at all ❌
➡️ Plan ahead – taxi, public transport, or stay overnight 🚕 🚋
➡️ Remember that only time removes alcohol from your system ⏱️ coffee and fresh air won’t help

We’re expecting hot weather across Scotland! ☀️🌡️

It’s great to get outside in the sunshine, but heat can impact on our health so it’s important to be prepared.

Here’s some simple tips to stay healthy:

❤️ Look after yourself and those who may be more vulnerable in hot weather - including babies, young children, older people and those with underlying health conditions
💧 Stay hydrated – take extra water with you when you go outside
🏃‍ Try to plan your exercise and outdoor activities during cooler times of the day
☀ Protect your skin with suncream that’s SPF 30 or higher

Check out NHS inform which has lots of tips and guidance on staying safe and healthy in hot weather 🔽
