Weight Management Is About More Than Weight Loss 🩷

A patient using our Weight Management Service had been making excellent progress and was feeling much healthier.

During a routine review, our Pharmacist discussed how significant weight loss can sometimes affect other long-term health conditions and medications. As a result, we encouraged the patient to speak with their GP about having some routine blood tests to ensure their treatment remained appropriate.

The results showed that their medication requirements had changed, and their GP was able to adjust their prescription accordingly.

Weight management isn't just about the number on the scales. 💡

For some patients, losing weight can have a positive impact on wider aspects of their health, which is why ongoing monitoring and regular reviews are so important.

Our role doesn't stop at supporting weight loss goals. We help ensure patients remain safe, supported, and on the right treatment for their individual needs throughout their journey. Behind every successful journey is a team committed to helping patients achieve better health.

⚠️ Medicine Recall Notice – Crescent Ramipril Capsules ⚠️

A precautionary recall has been issued by The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for a batch of Ramipril 10mg capsules manufactured by Crescent Pharma Ltd. due to a packaging error. Some 10mg packs may contain 5mg capsules inside.

It comes after a patient found one blister pack of Ramipril 5mg capsules inside a sealed carton of Ramipril 10mg capsules.

Affected batch: GR174091
(Shown on the outer carton)

The pack will look like the image here.

If you have this batch, check the blister strips inside the box. If they say Ramipril 5mg, please contact your pharmacy.

The risk to patients who may have taken the lower dose for a short period is considered to be very low.

Please do not stop taking your medication without speaking to a healthcare professional first.
